Hmmm - well, what of today's payment? Oh, we'll make it in mid-January when we pay off the loan. Would my lender put up with that? Neither will Ablrate (see the update)! Remembering the history here - especially when combined with the absence of a payment today - what's the betting that the repayment will be on time?

Oh, I'll put up with it,
.. but I'll expect an extra 2** weeks interest, at the higher 'default' interest rate. ... elsewise the boat, she get impounded.
** for values of 'mid' which mean 2 weeks, not 6.

I'm presuming the borrower might be paying two months interest on the 27th?

ablrate, the last update on this loan (e-mail on 27th Dec 18) said that the borrower was planning to repay the loan in full in mid-January. As it's now the start of February, do you know why the borrower didn't make the planned full repayment, please, and do you have any idea as to when they are likely to repay the loan?

Thanks westcountry. We who do not hold the fishing loan are not permitted to know what is going on, even though it is not defaulted. The platform is not so large that individual loans are unimportant to the general lenders. So, please use this forum to keep us all up to speed, and let's have more transparency here please ablrate. This is not FC.

We posted a brief update in Admin Notes on the 28th saying that they had been meeting with their funders. We have had further information today and we are looking to get out news on the rapayment shortly. We have, of course, discussed the payment of the back interest
