I suspect this isn't 'broken' - maybe trying to attract new money rather than use existing funds? Happens too often for it to be something not functioning as intended for me. Even more broken:- Borrowers Rate Lenders >>5.7% £747.0k 5.6% £2.2k 5.5% £121,931.75 £545,252.13 6.5% £47.8k 5.3%

Now's the time to jump in front of £550K worth of lenders already Q-ing at lower rates. You'll get an immediate 6.5% match. Can't understand why RS don't just take the £413K needed for that loan from existing lender offers at lower rates. I'm not complaining!!!

Seems it's a deliberate ploy by RS. I've just received an e-mail inviting me to invest some more money at 6.5%. I'm such a sucker for a decent rate that I did so more than an hour ago

Strangely both my debit cards are suddenly bouncing...so methinks it's probably an error

I just came back here to post similar, as I appear to have received the same email: "RATE ALERT: Dear <insert investor name here> As a savvy investor, I thought you'd like to know that rates are currently higher than usual..."

If I hadn't just got £1k at 6.5% I wouldn't have believed it.
They didn't even take the 6.5% queued money.
If I'd had money sitting in the 6.4/6.5 queues for a week or so I would be very angry.

One of the quirks of the platform to which I refer as "the (rates) anomaly". That borrower order has been filled now, but most of the sub 6.5% lender offers still sit there unused and the next match will go out at c5.6%.

As a "savvy investor" I got this email and checked the site -- from 17:20 to 20:50 there were constant matches at 6.5%, sometimes bouncing lower. But for some reason my money sat on the queue (as RateSetter laughably call it) at 6.0/6.1% was not matched. At all. Even though placed there earlier that day. RS> Michael, how much could you earn if you put your money on the market? MB> Depends if you match it to offers, or skip past it to get to higher rate offers, negating the idea of a "queue" or a "fair system" operating any more! I queried how they thought it was a good idea to promote so-called higher rates like this (misleading offer), when it's clear money isn't being matched correctly. Despite the "three working days" response time, no reply. I call it a bit of an own goal, as now I'm an annoyed savvy investor.

5.3% "crossover" available on one year market - about £18,000.
edit: gone, but £147K borrower offer appeared at 5.2%.

Hmmm. Got caught in this one again -- 6.2% offer just sat there unmatched, meanwhile money at 6.4% being removed from the "queue".
Yet again a query to Customer Services as to why this is happening goes unanswered.
I must have missed the re-brand of the site to "FakeRateManipulator.com"
