Copied from both the New and Old forum
"As of this morning there are two separate forums within the new forum : One labelled ‘General’ containing as far as I can tell the old entries in ‘Thincats General Affairs’ with 25 threads and 195 posts. A Second ‘Software moans’ with the new threads about ‘Moans about new software’ where there are 2 threads and 17 posts.
So possibly those who jumped to conclusions should jump back.
I know very well I could not access the ‘General’ forum last night it simply did not appear.
P.S.
Must do something about my Avatar it shows a black cat licking out the dishwasher.

I would just like to say hooray for the moderators and forum moderation here. If there was anything wrong with the old TC forum that we all appear to love, is was lack of moderation and lack of an appropriate structure.
While I welcome this new forum and wish it success, I believe the main TC forum should be within the TC domain and only accessible to lending members.

There have certainly been some improvements. , however still a few bugs when using the app with a mobile device. Also I cannot post to the new forum using chrome on my home computer. I can however post to the new forum using my samsung and also keep logged in with both computer and mobile at same time. I tested the mail system by depositing to my account, which then notified 7 different TC staff. Within 30 mins the funds were there. However, the expected inbox mail to confirm this transfer has not yet arrived.

Some improvements on Monday but no communication of which items solved and which viewed as priority. A few problems which were identified months ago before the manual was written, and should have been dead to fix such labelling of buttons carried forward.

The site is gradually improving and if you are working with a PC or Mac is probably almost back to pre 'upgrade' levels of functionality.
Test will be this evening when two small auctions are launched within a hour of each other.

For those who don't know Mr B Noir is involved with (?owns?) the software company who produced this dogs breakfast. He keeps telling us it's been tested, which I find hard to believe.

I am inclined to agree with you but it is improving at a good pace.

It is your call but both the New Forum buried in ThinCats.Com and the Old Forum on Thincast.Net are up and running and as far as I can tell do not suffer from censorship. There are enough unpleasant postings on them for be pretty sure Paul is not spraying the forums with internet Snowpake. I would just like the to be back to a fully functioning system so slagging off process here does not seem to help

As of today some great choices have been made :
They are running the batches of interest and capital repayments over night.
They have stripped back the opening screen to a bare menu with no calls on the database until a user chooses an option.
New auctions are starting at random times to reduce bidding large amounts of simultaneous attempts to confirm bids.
They have also started to queue bid confirmations which should also free up the system.
It is a pity more testing did not take place and the changes were not made earlier. On the other side of the coin I believe that ThinCats has the tightest spread between what borrowers are change and what lenders received on any P to B website. I would not like to loose say another 0.5% of interest for the sake of a sexier interface.
Hopefully the changes will buy enough time to cope with continued growth.

Is it my imagination, or are the circles spinning a bit faster and the pages loading a bit quicker?

I haven't noticed any difference in speed - either on logging in or on moving between locations. Still poor and I quite often look at other sites/do emails while I wait!
