Mintos is a Latvian company. In the very beginning Mintos met opposition by state regarding their "p2p" lending plan. Mintos answered that there is no legislation, the state started preparing the rules of game. The new rules will probably come in several months. What could happen next. Mintos is acting like a bank, but with no obligations, all risk is with "investors". What could happen if the new legislation will not be that favorable. Probably the new law will force investors to return their money. In this case the loan generators could go bust, and the investors could lose their money, probably all of them. Mintos informed in the very beginning that it could move to London and will prepare things to get in accordance with Financial Conduct authorities regulations. I made short research on the development with no success. No information on this activity. Probably it goes not that successfull there. What happens? I think that this issue is worth to keep eye on. What do you think colleagues?

Bitcoins is legal if you pay taxes, but it's illegal if you don't. That's basically it. You should pay taxes on it according to the exchange rate with your local currency.

Mintos decided not to move to London after Brexit. I heard that on a Lendit conference about two years ago.
