why has this gotten so illiquid now? almost 35k on sale. Who knows? Originally to buy into the last Cxxfxxx loan perhaps? People who were testing the new facility out and now withdrawing some? Other investment opportunities? Queue positioning? Some investors finally read the P&L in the docs?! What are your thoughts? (55k last time I looked so seems to have shortened.)

ablrateTo help us get comfortable with these portfolio loans, I think it would be very useful to have a graph of the variation of available balance/pending deposit queue plotted against time and an indication of volume of deals for the current period. This would certainly help me to decide whether to jump in or not according to the perceived liquidity. Naturally I realise the past history is no indication of the future but nevertheless I think it would be very useful. I'd like to use these loans as a form of "deposit account" to fill up my IFISA for the year and have the funds ISA wrapped ready for self select investment whilst earning something decent in the mean time. The big question for me is how far in advance I need to sell loan parts from the portfolio loans to have funds available for the kick off of self select opportunities. Would this be a manageable coding task? TIA LW

Hi ablrate Pretty sure this hasn't been raised, but will the Portfolio loans be numbered? It would be very useful for record keeping and general referencing.

Hi ablrate Pretty sure this hasn't been raised, but will the Portfolio loans be numbered? It would be very useful for record keeping and general referencing. According to my list of forthcoming interest payments, the current PL is numbered 1000095. However I agree that these should be more visibly numbered and also appear in the the "view current investments" list so that it means what it says. ablrateLW

Hi garfield, As LW says below, it is numbered 1000095. Follow the link at the bottom of this post for the loan details which include the loan number.

Thanks Lady W, dan1. I'd lost track of that! It may be more useful if these (untradeable) loans started with a "2", e.g. 2000001. That way they could be listed easily in current investments without the "Trade" button, for example.

We are, at the moment, working on a trade update page - basiaclly to give you up to date information on each loan which will include trading volumes/past prices and credit data.... so it is something we are doing for other loan... no reason we couldnt do it for this, but let me know what exact;y you would like and we will take a look at getting done during this update.

Currently you produce an instantaneous view of the available investment in the portfolio loan (s) in the form of a horizontal bar with numeric value.
I suggest that this numeric value be plotted vertically as a centre zero plus and minus value against time on the X axis to show the historic values so we can see trends.
The display would just be a line chart with a pop up numeric value when the mouse is moved along the time axis.
The volume of trades per hour/day etc could be combined on the same chart but might be clearer shown below the other chart using the same time axis.

why has this gotten so illiquid now? almost 35k on sale. Do you know why this now has instant liquidity? Only 8%, never reported a profit. May be the new loan will empty the pot again .

I see that allocating to the pending deposits queue calculates accrued interest. But the date the deposit will be accepted is unknown, so interest presumably will need recalculation at that time. Does that affect available funds, or is the principal of the bid adjusted to compensate? ablrate
