My edit crossed! - We will get it fixed tomorrow - I see exactly what you mean - see above
It looks fine in the old UI (which you can change to in settings) I see what happened - will sort that first thing

blender - I went looking for your reply over on the FS Endurance Boat thread.... That ought to be required reading, dan1, excellent. And especially the fact that with 'start ups' the borrower will hold the loan only until he/she is able to refinance at better rates (overall). The lender can look forward either to early repayment or perhaps a longer term default. Best to look for a minimum guaranteed interest period. And if it is not amortising, use the SM (if possible) to amortise it yourself at a rate you think appropriate. My first thought on reading it was of the HP loans on MT that refinanced last year. A very different proposition to mini-bonds but you get my point (at least the MT loans renewed and went to term). I look upon my P2P portfolio very much as junk bonds and it's the reason I won't up my stake even though the income is very welcome. It's pleasing to hear my equity heavy portfolio puts me in the optimists camp. I seem to recall you making reference to investors seeking the holy grail of high returns and low default rate. Perhaps more of the magic money seedling than tree

Sorting the Secondary Market listing by borrower does group loans together by borrower, which is useful ... however, it would be even better if the Borrower names were in the expected alphabetical order, which they aren't. The list does start with A and ends with W, but in between it's all over the place.

Perhaps more of the magic money seedling than tree Hi dan1 - I am not sure why you have posted this in this thread. I removed the post you referred to because I thought I was taking the discussion too far. There is another Albrate thread, how it works, where I have today written some appreciative comments, and I wonder if you have chosen the wrong thread? Not a seedling because it bears fruit. Maybe the metaphor is the goose that laid the golden eggs. Maybe it is too good to continue (and reproduction will be difficult). But while the golden eggs are being produced, lets take the eggs. And let's keep telling the goose what a good job she does. Can you imagine 'Whitehaven' happening at Ablrate? Pace - container lenders, no platform is without error.

Back to the thread, How do I delete all those notifications by the little bell symbol in one go, without opening them individually? We are talking hundreds.

Click on the bell icon, then the View All link at the bottom of the menu. All notifications are marked as read.

If I have viewed the list of twelve pages, I have read the individual messages. Works for me, thanks!

Apologies blender. I'd been intending to respond to your reply but on not finding it I made a glib reply featuring a new graphic from the Ablrate site, hence moving it to this thread on the new UI. I find it's relatively easy to get carried away by the likes of Ablrate and Collateral that are yet to suffer major defaults (major as in proportion of the loan book). I like Ablrate a lot but found the recent late payment of 1000021 very useful in reminding us what risks we're taking for our 10-15% return. But, credit where credit is due, their record to date is enviable in this industry.

Yes, love the image and the implied difficulty for that small plant having to continue to bear magnificent flowers or fruit. My metaphor of encouraging the goose that lays the golden egg, rather than cutting it open, has been supported by co-incidence with the following story : www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/hunter-knocked-unconscious-by-dead-goose-falling-from-sky/ar-BBIEb5v?li=BBoPWjQ&ocid=DELLDHP15
If the plant stops flowering or the goose stops laying, that's a different matter. Basically I guess that many here are like me, just a greedy b*st*rd. Yes, I know about all the past flowers, fruit and golden eggs, but what have you done for me lately?

Back to the thread. When you wish to cancel a secondary bid, and perhaps elsewhere, you press 'cancel' and are presented with the question 'are you sure you wish to cancel this bid' owtte. The choices are 'cancel,' and 'OK'. The correct choice to cancel the bid is 'OK', not 'cancel'. Confusing for me. Better to use different words for the different functions if possible. No/yes would be better than cancel/OK for a response to 'are you sure?'

That one caught me too the first time, but it is nothing to do with the new UI, it was always thusly confusing. I agree it would be useful (for newbies) to fix it though.

I see. I have not used the bid process before, just the offer.
Yes this is on the old iu, but these are controls in the ui rather than data, and this is the time to fix.
So, when you cancel an offer you do not get the opportunity to make sure, for some reason. It just cancels -which is fine. But to get to cancel an offer you get a similarly confusing option. You go to secondary offers and are faced with two options buttons 'details' and 'amend'. If you wish to cancel your offer which must you choose? 'amend?' Nope it's 'details'. Even though the amend screen has a cancel button at the bottom, that is only for cancelling entered changes which do not involve cancellation. For that you have to go to the 'details' screen which has a 'cancel' button which cancels the offer. This could be the time to make the controls a bit more logical.
