Similar things were discussed as were talked about, and reported, on the longer first visit. This was a personal meeting and not one set for questions from the forum to be asked and answered by report. All areas discussed would be available to any current investor who cares to ring up and ask questions that are burning for your circumstances. That is what this meeting was. stevio I understand that you, and other investors, potential or otherwise, want the data and I would like to pass it all on but it must come from Collateral staff themselves when they are ready to announce things on a public forum and not me. S That limits the usefulness of this thread - is the main thrust there’s lots of interesting/confidence building measures lined up but we must contact Col ourselves to find out what they are (prior to any announcement)? I’m finding this thread a bit of a non-event and a little teasing. Or am I misunderstanding the thread’s intent? @elliotm my reason for starting the thread was to pass on the good news feeling I got about the company and only that. As already stated lots of what was passed on is not yet ready for public forum dissemination bit one can, as an investor, find out by contacting coll and have a conversation. Alternatively, as you indicate, one could wait for things to trickle out. As for your final comment, I am not going to try and interpret your mind. Please spell it out or pm me if you do not want to on forum. S

I very much appreciate that you’ve taken thehttps://m.facebook.com/bondmason/photos/a.1671838783085119.1073741828.1617999411802390/2049943658607961/?type=3 charismatic borrowers or introducers have managed to extract more lending from me than I am now happy with on TC and MT. As I understand it, CO come from a pawn shop background and I still regard that as their key competency. It’s difficult to understand the sky high returns offered by the platform beyond beguiling lenders/consumers excessively. It would certainly be helpful to know that your good feelings about CO come from more than the charm and affability of the key people but come from something more real or tangible. Hope some of that makes sense. I go past the niceness and the personal traits very quickly paul123. I too would not get involved with the property side initially. Indeed, Polonious and I voiced our concern at the direction change in March last year's meeting and I think that is in the report we posted. The skill set of the leadership team is well suited to property loans due to past experience before becoming rightly perceived as a pawn site. The property side is a totally different model to the pawn side on coll from a contractual viewpoint. I dipped my toe in but pulled out of their property offerings again in autumn last year. I too got stung by believing the hype round Ed as part of a duo. Sadly, how rapidly things change now he is on his own, and the pack of cards is at a lifecycle stage where they are looking very shaky. That can happen anywhere though. Companies in this sector that survive are companies that change as business needs dictate and do it quickly. Collateral, in my opinion, is doing just that. They also seem to be looking at all aspects of their business in order to make them the best in their market. Part of that is seeking active customer views, negative and positive, and ideas. I hope my comments have helped answer some of your concerns Paul123. As for bling, just use order book evidence over the past year to see if that is still a core niche for the business.

Hi stub8535, thank you in the first instance for meeting with Gordon and Peter (both?) in follow-up to your visit with Polonious. I love 'Bling' maybe I am not alone in this. Were you given any indication as to why the taps ran dry on New 'Bling' loans, what went awry? I'd love to know as I don't doubt that Collateral still get enquiries from 3rd parties looking to borrow. Will we see anymore New 'Bling' loans? Please help with understanding. Best regards, J. No

So the big announcement was smaller loans.
I welcome that.

So the big announcement was smaller loans. I welcome that. One of them, yes. You see that it was not my place to announce that type of information now I hope. It does raise the lack of publicity done by Coll in order to increase their lender pool as well as keep the current lenders happy. I have also reviewed a few threads to see what other snippets were already in the public realm. I notice their having an independent monitoring surveyor is one of these. The schedule of monitoring visits for the start of Feb came in whilst we were having our meeting. I was impressed. I hope coll can place these on the relevant loans redacted, or to investors by e mail in full, as they are recieved. This will give confidence that the plans are in place to complete projects on time. It would be a refreshing change from what we have, both on Coll and elsewhere, and may, like others have written on other threads, drive other platforms to improve.

What a genius you are branding everybody who was worried yesterday as .
The worry yesterday was quite understandable and one has to wonder how many deposits you got collateral in the last month from this thread.

As well as being against the forum rules, personal attacks help nobody. Everybody needs to exercise a little restraint.

stub8535 are you able to be any more forthcoming now, per chance? Edit: I mean in respect of your recent visit. I don't suppose you can tell us this is all in the grand plan, then Argh.

Like I said it's as much news to me as it is to you. I don't even think they knew their was an insurmountable issue when they met me in January. It could be that we have the best of all worlds here. An orderly rundown of the platform with cash being returned as it's repaid. They may go down Gordon's mentioned restructure at the same time to clean the company for when they recieve the correct authorisation and reopen from administration. I still do not see a major disaster here but I am sure that Mr happy in his car will be along to cast his happiness on everything sometime soon.

Thanks, stub8535 - I was being slightly unfair poking you - am still somewhat in shock and feeling a little green.

Thanks, stub8535 - I was being slightly unfair poking you - am still somewhat in shock and feeling a little green. I am also in shock Kermie. I can understand the anxiety shown particularly from some of the newer investors. Things will probably settle into a pattern fairly quickly. The business has not collapsed. No person has knowingly committed fraud over a long time period. Management have acted correctly in putting the company in administration whilst they get things sorted out with the FCA. I have long term hope still for the platform.
