I made a note to look at the £1,000 pension transfer cashback offer from Youinvest (AJ Bell) I haven't actually done so yet but I believe that their annual charges are .25%.

H & L have refused to lower my fees to 0.25%. Out of interest, did they give a reason ?

My recollection is that the reduction was only available on accounts of a certain value.

No just boilerplate 'this is good value' moonraker: I do have near 6 figures there or I did before this latest crash. Any thoughts on the crash - my Amazon have taken a fair dive - not that I am selling, but when do you think we will see $2000 again/

You get 0.25% on anything between 250k-1M in a single account but still pay 0.45% on the balance up to £250k. To qualify for 0.25% on all your accounts you must need a considerable sum invested overall. I haven't tried as I'm sure I wouldn't qualify.

That's what I did (and it sounds like I have a similar sum invested), and they sent a long boring message back about how brilliant they were, but at the end of the message agreed to reduce my charges to 0.25%
