Is this fellow still hiding in Spain? I suppose his crime is not serious enough for an eu arrest warrant before Oct 31. Maybe the Americans will' Julian Assange' him but we'd never see anything if that happens. Pleasing prospect tho..

according to my research - he sure is and claiming to be psychologically ill. I think he went to Spain as there are no medical facilities in London and solely by happy co-incidence there is no US-Spain extradition treaty for the offences.

But there is UK Spain It might suit FS to have the borrower where the US authorities can't (easily) touch him. Bringing him to the UK (if it were sanctioned) may remove that 'happy' situation.

The godfather had a good solution, he just needs a little “frightening”.
FS phone calls should do the trick.
Yawn...

If it were me pursuing the borrower in these circumstances, I think I'd prefer him out of reach of the Yanks over having him in the UK where they might just complicate matters; and as things stand, I not sure the borrower not being physically in the UK really makes too much difference at the moment.

Don't worry guys, Funding Secure have been spending their time adding a knowledgebase Q&A to the website. It will make all the difference to the investor experience.

yes - this sure is a mess - I think the FBI want him in the UK so they can get their hands on him but as you say if he gets extradited to the US for very serious charges then will FS get a look-in without hiring a US lawyer to sue a bankrupt UK felon - well what would that cost and that is assuming it can be done in the first place.
All FS had to do was ensure the items were in their possession - unbelievable!

Maybe we could make a small claims court venture against FS for something. What could it be, I wonder ?

My mistake. I did it quick and dirty via a SUMIF function and the asterisks led to wrong calculations, as it was recognized by excel as wildcards. I did in a "cleaner way" with pivot table this time and we are 40 individuals to be exposed to £10k or above. I hope this time around it's correct ... Kyrios - your analysis is no longer possible unless you've saved copies of the loan listings, the site now shows only the last ten most recent investments for all loans. Makes you wonder if that investor* with £565k stuck in the art loans isn't "CenturionLtd" *just to clarify I don't necessarily mean individual but entity, which could include Ltd companies, syndicates, institutional backers etc. I have the listings for all of the loans.

Another dodgy art dealer who suddenly becomes ill when they are due to answer for their actions. I wonder if it's an occupational hazzard somehow?

For older readers - don't forget Ernest Saunders - convicted of fraud but was suffering from Alzheimer's disease although he made a miraculous recovery once released! I just wonder if our art dealer will do the same ?

Why would a Gulbenkian steal £1m of art when the family owns a museum ? We really live in a mad world.
