This now has been posted on the Money Saving Expert... so I expect Bonus payments to be way slower now and potentially this offer will be pulled sooner rather than later

I signed up yesterday - all online, all very fuss-free. Better for those who didn't fancy the trendy app-approach of Atom, who have too much there already. NB - that's not a referral link, just out of the kindness of my mechanical heart

Hmm, I check MSE almost daily and if it really was there before 8th June, it was not made very obvious. Now it is on the front page and on the latest money tip tagged as "NEW" (would they tag something posted almost 2 months ago as "New"?), so loads of people will be seeing it for the first time

They currently offer 1.95% on a 1 year fix, and when I deposited it took about 5 days to finally get invested (as opposed to same-day with going direct). Considering the market leader also offers a higher 2.05%, and you're also introducing an unrequired intermediary into the process, giving a 0.2% bonus (maximum) doesn't really cut it.

Ah, fair enough, I'd assumed it was sooner looking at some of the other replies on this thread. Me too, but think they have a back log now I had mine quicker than that, but think it's just luck of the draw as they seem to batch them up a little. I had an email to confirm that it'd be sent 'shortly' on the 10th July (with payment indeed shortly afterwards), so expect you'll see something in the next few days hopefully.

Hi folks just found this thread. If you are just looking for small return risk free then there are a few ways with little or no investment
1 open a spare current account switch it every year M&S pays £120 to switch then £5 a month first direct £100+ and £125 if you transfer within the year.
2 switch gas/ electric to Bulb energy they Pay you £50 and are cheap also give you £50 for every friend who joins. They get £50 too. Get the dosh then switch to other that gives £25 to you and friends.
If over 50 take out 4 “over 50 “ life insurance plans simultaneously. Average gift card £75 ie £300 pay premiums for 3 to 4 months the qualifying period at cost of at most £10 each ie £160 if 4 months. Nett £300-160=£140 . Then cancel. Use the money from switching bank accounts to pay premiums.
Depending on the number of friends and family you will make min £400 all tax free if you did all. All this for a hour or so on computer.
The rich get richer. They play the system. Now it your turn. There are a lot more similar ways to get free money.
Do do these things as a profitable bit of fun to temporarily distract you from worrying about other investments,
The £1000 mentioned in title of thread is required to round robin between current accounts to meet their funding requirements so never at risk.
For that £1000 you make at least 40% in the first year and min 12% in subsequent years. By doing similar things. Leave the over 50 plans a few years so you can qualify again.

Thought i was on MSE at first with these good tips but check the insurance plans first i.e Sun Life over 50's insurance mentions premiums from £3.90 - £74 may want to make sure your not at the top end of that scale as you could end up paying them

Thought i was on MSE at first with these good tips but check the insurance plans first i.e Sun Life over 50's insurance mentions premiums from £3.90 - £74 may want to make sure your not at the top end of that scale as you could end up paying them Fortunately I was young enough to only pay about £6 each. We all feel it may not be moral to do some of the things but life is short and most of the money you’re getting is from large institutions making vast profits just getting a little back . One more little Gem if you have to spend £60 To get 10p off a litre of fuel buy something that costs £60. Get your voucher then return the item. Many of us single folk find it difficult to spend £60 at one time although I did manage to buy 72 tins of red salmon that was reduced to clear at nearly half price cost just enough to get my voucher and my car holds 90L I saved another £8.50 as it was nearly empty. £8.50 on £60 ie 14% every little helps LOL to get that % up on overall net worth Have a good day all.
