Yes, Mogo did buyback a lot of paying loans on Saturday, I see a lot 13.5% older loans bought back. Was surprised to see a significant cash stack this morning just sitting in my account. Interesting, I have loads of Mogo loans (most 13%+) and did not get a single one bought back over the weekend... it could be that you will soon see even bigger cash stack once they expand the buyback... That's interesting. I think it was mostly 13.5-14% loans for me, but I see a few 13.0% loans as well there. Btw they didn't label it as a buyback, in account statement it shows as "other: principal received".

More than 50% of my Mogo loans are bought back already from the 14th of July.

Worthwhile to watch: youtu.be/qNiz0CjYFEA"Mogo Finance S.A., specialized in used car financing, started their pan-European roadshow. A EUR bond tap offering of the successfully issued 4-year corporate bond 2018/22 (ISIN XS1831877755, WKN A191NY) might follow. The initial issue with an annual interest rate of 9.50% was listed on the Open Market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on 11 July 2018. Mogo Finance-CEO Edgars Egle explains the 9-month figures and strategy." The obvious 'trade' here would be to find Mogo loans with a coupon above 9.5% that trade at a discount. Unsurprisingly, they don't exist right now on the secondary market. Alas there are many loans still available for sale at a premium, or have been sold recently at a premium, that will be definitely bought back. These are going to lose money for the buyers. It's important to remember that all the Mintos lenders have call options at par on any loans they 'sell' to investors on Mintos. Hipocredit has used this in the past to buy back the best performing, highest coupon loans and leave behind the losers. That's less of a concern for Mogo where a buyback guarantee is in place. However it does mean that it's never likely to be a good idea to buy any loans at a premium on the secondary market if the lender has access to other sources of capital to repurchase the loans (like Mogo)...

It'll be interesting so see to what extend people are aware of this, in 2 weeks when the secondary market portfolio feature will be released for everybody. I still have a few loans on offer where I'm hoping somebody will come and buy them, at a premium of course

Lots of buyback by Mogo today. Mostly at 11%. Many of mine at 12% and 13% escaped harmless.
