Bring it back, Ratesetter!

They've spaced out the side menu, and removed some stuff from it so that it now takes extra clicks to get to my most-used pages.
Hardly the end of the world, but it's a classic of the worst of modern web "design" -- less and less substance, surrounded my more and more useless white space. All they need to do now to really annoy me is to increase the font size by 200% site-wide.

Yes, it does take more clicks now. Heaven forbid they would make anything better when they make changes.

Good evening everyone.
Yes, we have refreshed the landing page that you see after you log into your account with a view to making it clearer and we have also simplified the menus. We have not changed any functionality, for example, how you add money or set your own rate when investing.
This is just an initial step towards making the member area better. We are planning to deliver some bigger improvements in 2019 and we will provide more information on that nearer the time.
We've posted a message in the Notices section of the landing page (to find this just scroll down towards the foot of the page) to provide a quick guide to the simplified menus.

We have not changed any functionality ... It's splitting hairs, but one could say that you have removed the (useful) functionality of being able to access the individual markets of a portfolio directly from the menu. They used to be accessible as indented sub-items in the menu. This feauture really did not need to be "simplified" out of existence; I'm pretty sure nobody was confused by it. If anybody was genuinely confused by it, they probably should not be in charge of money, let alone investing money in P2P!

I guess, by that argument, if anybody is confused by the new layout they too shouldn't be in charge of money either? Although honestly, both the old and new layout does not make the best use of the screen space. On my PC the Portfolio option requires a scroll down to find despite being the most important page in my RS account. Why is the menu bottom left? Surely it'd be far more accessible running across the top? Also Repayments by Month would be better if it showed the current month initially without requiring the clicking of 'View'. Indeed, it's a shame that AJAX isn't used more extensively to update the pages (and information in each page), rather than requiring a full page refresh/F5 for every operation. I'd love to see a real time Market Data page, for example.

Didn't realise it was broken RS so not sure why you felt the need to fix it. I'm sure these platforms do these once every so often changes when things are slack for programmers. It wasn't so long ago since the last change. I think 'simplifying' is just another word for 'meddling'.

What is missing for me is a page showing for each % in the borrowers queue - how much has been lent today and the date,time and value of the last transaction e.g.
Today <- when -> amount
6.6% 0 24/12/17 23:59 100
6.5% 2,500 today 17:20 50 etc. 3.7% 20 today 06:30 20

I agree , I think that changes are made in order to condition investors away from areas that RS does not want. It would be good if they could spend some of their effort to calm down the wild swings a bit.
