An update on Seedrs states that private trading for initial founder members will start this Friday.

Still no sign. I’m going to look at Property Partner as originally promised October

Does anyone know the definition of "initial founder member"? I registered, but haven't been invited to invest.
Has anyone else been invited to invest?

I think it’s those that invested with seedrs but even then it only looks like some investors. Seen nothing since preregistering 2 -3 months ago

An email confirming registration would have been nice.

How would you guys compare this type of product with something like the one offered by British Pearl, what would be the pros/cons of both? Hi nsilva, British Pearl would like to highlight some of the difference we see. You have asked a great question and before responding specifically I thought it might be worth noting the key set-up difference from a regulator point of view. Assetz Exchange are operating under a P2P license whereas British Pearl operates under two separate permissions: • the same P2P permission which applies to our loan investments • our additional Alternative Investment Fund Manager permission which applies to our share investments it is this second permission that guides our decision making process. By acting as a fund manager on behalf of our customers we source, secure and manage all of the properties. Our specialised investment team draws on a wealth of experience across both property investment and global investment management to identify the best opportunities on your behalf. All investment decisions are made against a detailed macro backdrop, comprising economic outlook, interest rate expectations, ongoing management costs, regional supply and other localised considerations, e.g. proximity to local amenities in order to identify areas most likely to offer superior returns for investors. We have worked hard to bring an institutional investment management approach to our property investment platform. This means that we work hard to ensure all stages of our investment process follow strict steps that are documented to try and add value at each point. Once a property is live on the site, the Property team constantly monitor the portfolio of investments that are available to investors in the New Sale and Resale Markets.

The first property is now listed on Assetz Exchange. Mods, do we need a new board for Assetz Exchange? And/or a private one for DD? Are we talking about the same thing? There has been a BTL property portfolio for some time (years), and you can purchase whole units - i.e. a flat or house or whatever, but the promised new platform where you just get a slice of a property depending on what you want to invest, and can diversify across a range of properties with less than it would take to buy a single unit (for us real non-BH retail investors ) is not yet open - at least not for me. I still get the pre-registration page and when I did just to see what would happen, I got the page as before:
"Thank you for your interest. We'll be in touch at launch in October". So now I've pre-registered at least three times! However, to answer your question, once it does actually launch it will follow the usual process I imagine - stay in the general board to gauge interest and once it gets a lot progress to the /more P2P area. Here are a few of the latest ones that got moved, so you can see the scale of it - p2pindependentforum.com/post/245665/thread. If it really took off from that point, it could then get 'promoted' to the main Board, at a quarterly review point. Any need for DD type comments can go into DD Central as is in the general area first.

It has launched. Annoyingly the pre-reg seems to have been pointless, go on the site you have to resign-up fill in details inc bank details, pass fraud checks (which took less than 5 seconds for me) an hey presto the 1st property is live.
