Just had another bonus rate land in my inbox. Adds up to 1.3%. Still not matching Chase (1.5%) and Virgin is now offering 1.56% on up to 25k per account.

Apparently cash isa recieved lower volumes than usual this year. I've often wondered why should cash isa rates be less than fixed deposits?
No wonder they've tailed off. That and less disposable income this year.

It seems Marcus has changed the withdrawal with its app for quite some time.
Limit to 20k.
Telephone banking has “no limit” via FPS.

My Partner wanted to move money out of a Welsh BS to another Bank
She setup the bank account ready.
The sending bank won't do Automated transfers they insist on a form signed by Customer and someone at the new bank
She made to 15 mile round trip to collect a form
Filled form in and posts to new Bank
48 Hours later gets an email saying "received, completed and sent to old BS"
A week later "Nothing back as yet"
another week goes by and still nothing
So she rings BS, after 30 minutes finally gets hold of someone who tells her they've never received document.
She asks for confirmation that Correct address was used, and they confirm it was
She made to 15 mile round trip to collect a second form
Filled form in and posts to new Bank
48 Hours later gets phone call saying this appears to be a duplicate, so she explains that it appears to be lost in post
A week later "Nothing back as yet"
another week goes by and still nothing
So she rings BS, after 30 minutes finally gets hold of someone who tells her they've never received document. Considerable surprise expressed that 2 letters have both gone missing.
Asks for a form to be posted out nearly a week later form arrives in the post
Filled form in and posts to new Bank
48 Hours later gets phone call saying "this appears to be a duplicate", so she explains that it appears that 2 copies have been lost in post.
man on phone says he will send this one recorded.
3 days later money arrives in new account

Pays 1.5% (incl .15% bonus for a year) on £1-250,000. Savings account, deposits/withdrawals to nominated account. Instant access, FP
Sign up took about 5min
Wow, it's faster than Flying Captain. I requested a withdrawal with Marcus @ 1625, fund received @ Starling @ 1627. “Instant” access may have been changed. Withdrawal speed may have been reverted to “industry” standards, same day, unlike other “Instant” saver account “Instant” withdrawal.

It's just that I made a withdrawal a couple of days ago and it was as "fast" as normal. Has something very recently changed?

It’s been “slower” than my previous “instant” experience with Marcus.
Test withdrawal today completed within 1hr, still “Fast” if you would like to call it, but much slower than other banks when I tested withdrawals at the same time.
The “fastest” withdrawal with the “instant” saver by another bank is completed under 60s.

The “fastest” withdrawal with the “instant” saver by another bank is completed under 60s. I tend to make 2 or 3 ‘small’ withdrawals (£00’s rather than £000’s) every month. Always completed within 5 minutes or so and usually before I have had time to even log in to the recipient account to check.

I remembered the time money arrived before I got an email from Marcus.
I haven’t observed the 5 minute timeframe lately, may be it’s my linked bank delaying the fund recently
But I haven’t changed the linked bank. 🤷♂️
My £ withdrawal today was completed after 45mins, still within 2 hours mark.
Similar timeframe for £££££ withdrawal a few days before.

Now 1.5% (including 0.25% fixed bonus). That's what the web site shows, but my email today said 1.25% plus 0.25% bonus. I hope it's the email that's wrong. Have queried it with them.
