I don't think I've had a bonus % payment as I've not had any announcement of it - would it be right to assume that? It comes a bit later in the month. You should receive an e-mail. If not, log in, go to 'manage investments' and it will be at the bottom of the list.

If the former yes, if the latter no as they arent P2P so dont have the relevant permission to offer a P2P ISA (they have talked about getting it)
For the latter you will find more info/be more likely to get a response here on the BC board

Having dipped my toe into WeLendUs, I really like what I see. The black box nature of the site combined with good returns has been a positive experience, although the interface was complex to get my head around. I particularly like the PF coverage and that it covers any loss of interest. It's also good to see that they ( nsiam) are active on this forum. WLU is currently a very small part of my P2P portfolio and whilst I will be increasing my investment over the next few months, the bit holding me back from making this a significant part of my portfolio is that WLU is relatively new and that the overall size of the business is still very small. Is there any information around on how WLU is performing and what their business plan is? Perhaps nsiam can comment?

I thought it was too complex at the beginning, but soon realised there is no need for me to go any further than "manage investments" and modify when necessary. I do hope that WLU will stay modest and won't indulge in artificial growth like some other platforms did. I very much agree that Nadeem's participation on this board was/is very helpful since the launch of the platform.

After reading this thread i am curious. Can i invest in loans paying 10-15% and this will be guaranteed by the provision fund ?

Already i am invested in rs,lw,gs is this worth a small punt ? Unlike other Welendus Investors, I thought I might be the only one experiencing mysterious cashdrag. It's kinda annoying when it works well for other investors except myself (85% to 95%), like 99% money invested. My worst cashdrag episode is longer than 2 weeks. Sometimes, the algorithm finds me a short term loan for 50p if this is the small punt you are talking about, you can imagine what the return 50p is like.

Hi, after having no issues with my initial small investments ie. Virtually no cash drag, I have now added more substantial funds at end of December/ beginning of January. Disappointingly I am now seeing some quite serious cash drag on some of these funds which I can see no good reason for, so you are not alone sir. If I can find the time I will give WLU a call sometime and try and get to the bottom of it (not so easy as I work ft).

re cash drag, wonder whether this is the factor - from their site:
"[...] In the event we see our average default rate approaching our target average default rate, we close the lending door to riskier borrowers by tightening our credit assessment and affordability criteria.
We only accept borrowers with an estimated default rate of up to 15%. However, we are targeting an average actual default rate of under 10%. We are aiming to achieve our target by maintaining the balance of high risk and low risk borrowers to be lower than the 10% target average using our comprehensive credit and affordability assessment."
I though I was experiencing cash drag as hadn't seen an email saying my recent £100 was fully invested, however just logged in and seen that it is (10.5-15)

As investments are prioritised by investment date, newer investments will face a slight Cash Drag to start with. But once they are lent out and in the system, the Cash Drag improves significantly as the investment age.

However some of them now appear to have hit the brakes and repayments are not being re-invested.

I have a new loan recently, I notice one lender has 7 " investments" in the loan while I have only one. Does it mean all his 7 investments age are older than rest of my other "investments"? I have money unlent in the rest of my 4 other investment too. Of course I have no idea how much spare cash the other lender has in this portfolio, but I find it is strange that the other lender manage to lend more money with his 7 investments while I could have lent out more with my single investment even diversification limit is not reached.
