OK, so I wanted to have a dabble in the new Euro bonds that are coming up on WiseAlpha. I don't have a euro bank account so thought I would send some money from Monzo and just have to absorb the fees on conversion.
I filled in my bank details and sent a bit of money but then it popped up with
Below this was the details of wisealphas euro account and reference numbers etc.
Does anyone have any experience with this? Can Monzo do this? I have never spoken with anyone at Monzo. I can send money internationally via the app, but I didn't want to just send money through the app unless I was sure

The need for a euro bank account is a real shame.
I registered for the zero fees, but won't be able to take advantage.

I have dropped Wisealpha a message asking how it works and if I can do it with a UK based bank. I will let you know tomorrow when they reply.
I want some of those Netflix bonds :-)

Thanks, I'll check it out. I'm not really fond of mobile banking at all, but might give it a go. EDIT - That's a no go, the idiot thing is wanting me to p**s about making vidoes. Uninstalled!

I had a painless experience in creating a euro account with Revolut, which i use for investing in Mintos, Robocash and Grupeer. Is also useful for paying by card in euros when on holiday in euro zone.

Currently taking advantage of fee free currency transactions to buy some Euros while the pound is (probably temporarily) stronger.

Currently taking advantage of fee free currency transactions to buy some Euros while the pound is (probably temporarily) stronger. I'm holding back in case there's a further £ fillip on securing the withdrawal agreement this month (or this year if Ireland/fishing are particularly obdurate square pegs). This also holding me back on Eur platforms otherwise Revolut is ready & waiting Edit - ok, I'm in different time zone & just catching up on the cabinet draft agreement. I see a spike of nearly 1.155 in the run up but it's not a relationship I normally follow; ok that looks good for most recent trend - and is ahead of cabinet resignations and difficult parliamentary vote - think I'll Revolut some £ Edit 2 - choosing “Local” Eur account details on Revolut to deposit in WA gives me IBAN and Edit - Google tells me BIC is my Swift code . [Choosing “SWIFT” Eur account on Rev looks more scary, Revolut Ltd as beneficiary, a flashing “reference” and IBAN/BIC] Well, I’ve done something, now just wait & see...Qs for Eur p2p platforms to follow! (Such as can I still choose Local for the likes of Mintos overseas? Ace IFISAcava , thanks!)

Don't think so, I have just invested in it. Also noticed the 1 year is presently 5%. Presumably WA want to raise some Euros, not sure how long this will last. In fact why would anybody invest in a Eurobond of less than 5% whilst this offer exists.

I can only see Netflix on the Main Market and only £ on the Smart Interest link, thanks.

Well, I’ve done something, now just wait & see...Qs for Eur p2p platforms to follow! (Such as can I still choose Local for the likes of Mintos overseas? Ace IFISAcava , thanks!) I think that the answer to your question is yes, but in case I've misunderstood the question... When setting up a payee in Revolut you get to specify the currency that will be used for payments to that account. If you want to pay a specific account in multiple currencies, I presume that you would set up multiple payees; one for each currency (I haven't actually tried this, hence the "presume"). When making a payment from Revolut you get to choose which of your Revolut currency accounts the payment is made from. If this is different to the currency specified when setting up the payee a conversion is made to that currency at Revolut's normal spot rate. I know this for certain as I accidentally made a payment to my Mintos payee in euros from my sterling Revolut account. As usual, no fees were charged and the conversion was exactly the same as it would have been if I had chosen to convert from sterling to euros in Revolut before making the payment in euros. Hope this helps. Sorry if I misunderstood the question.
