Hi, do you know any service providers specialising cheap international calls? Ideally, low minimum top up and credit does not expire, for making calls to +371 / +372

You basically call one number first, and then your intended number and pay much less. Latvia is 2p/min landline, 6p/min mobile currently. Just keep an eye on them changing which number you dial first, as it'll still work but cost more!

You could take a look at the Tesco international calling app. You get a free £1 credit when you first download and I believe it is possible to top up with as little as £3 in store. However the credit does expire after 180 days.

Thank you for all your suggestions. Tesco international call app with free £1 credit is probably good for calling Estonia +372. 2p per minute + 4p connection fee I also discover Three PAYG is good for roaming and making international calls, calling Latvia +371 is 3p per minute, credit never expires, but sim card requires activity every 180 days. www.three.co.uk/international-calls

Sorry, this might be a bit random, and it depends on the general circumstances, but a wifi connection and Whatsapp would be.... free?

I used to sort of like MSE and some of the main pages are still useful at times (e.g. highest paying savings account etc). However, I think the forums have gone downhill. I've seen quite a few people ask questions that really require someone who knows the subject to answer of which there probably are a few out there. However, the likes of Thurglmir or whatever his name is and his chums tend to jump on unanswered threads and give a bland answer. They should rename the forum section askthurglmir.com .

Im not sure about that... i recently joined the MSE CLUB (i think) through forum info.. the one that gives you your credit score free and then recommends loans, credit cards , bank acc .. etc .. and took out a bank loan at 1/3 of the interest of my own capitol.. not a large loan, but one that saved me a nice amount.. personally i also think MSE is a very good starting point.

Must admit I rarely visit the site anymore, was basing it more on how it used to be so more than happy to accept it 'is not what it was'. Forums can tend to lose there purpose when they lose focus on what they do well (I have a feeling I may be subconsciously observing events here at the moment with that comment).

Why does this thread title conjure up images of The Trump, or some designated staffer, on the Oval Office phone trying to line up some local “company” for the Dumpster on his next international sojourn? Maybe its just my disturbed mind...
