Bit odd that in the middle of reviewing my accounts it started getting slower and slower and then all of a sudden I got the message. About 3 mins earlier I was making some lending orders, surely a better approach might have been to have started giving us the heads up a half an hour earlier perhaps. Seems like a fairly easy thing to do if the system is designed correctly.
IMHO of course but it is our money that they are managing and seems to me just shutting down without warning is a potential hazzard to our funding request or worse!.
Edit: minutes after writing the above I did a reload on the maintenance message and it actually finished loading my screen where I left off!. I wonder if that's even worse as I couold have popped off to the toilet thinging I would as a minimum have to log back in!.

It gets better, I perused a few more things that were available and then I logged out and during logout I got the maintenance screen. Bit odd have I logged out or not? So I coupled back to ratesetter.com and it seems that it is in fact still under maintenance!.
All a bit odd if you ask me and stinks of bad co-ordination in the access points. I wonder if we should be worried about security in these instances as well as unplanned mistakes occurring in any number of places I dread to consider.

Nope I am still logged in as a quick look back at my RS session proves. Ok so there may be some cache issues but I definitely tried to log out and it went to the Mtce screen. So I then went all the way back the login via ratesetter.com and it was straight into the Portfolio screen.
There are some potentially serious gremlins in the RS system I think. It does seem that it was perhaps floundering somewhere and they just rebooted a server or 2 perhaps. The screens are loading much faster.

Seems to be some disarray in their IT systems at the moment.
Might explain why some of us are getting 'loan match' confirmation emails while others aren't?

Much faster for me this morning so they seem to have fixed something, it has been terribly slow for me for weeks.

Not sure what maintenance they were doing as Mrs aju decided we should go shopping this morning and I inadvertently left my account reloading the 1Y market view every 2 minutes (it was secure logged out in Windows Win+L).
We got back about 15 mins ago and RS is still logged in and working and there were no errors displayed on the reloading screen and its still reloading the 1Y market. I can see the 1Y has received quite a bit of relend offers and my entry that had 223k in front of it this morning now has at least 593k (603k according to the 1Y market screen) in front of it so I might have to review whether it will take too long to get lent (I'm not in hurry as the offer is only 15 hrs old at present).

I was not aware that you can still see where you are in the queue. I can see where the front of each rate is, but don't know how to look at existing offers without putting my offer to the back of the queue.

I hav ethe same issue as propman, or are you just saying the total of lower lending rates as opposed to specifically where you know exactly (as you used to be able to see) whats in front of you?

I'm not sure you are not seeing what I can see but I do this if it helps. I set a given rate on a product as normal say 5.6%. At the point I set it I assume I am at the back of the queue and it reads the same as say what one can see in the old Market screens (the new ones are really the same) So once you have set the rate you just click the edit pen and now you should see if you are at the back of the queue or if you have moved the rate you see in the dangerous screen compared to the market rate screen for the product will show that you have moved into the middle of the rate perhaps. Not sure I've explained that very well but say for my current entry in the 1Y (actually its Mrs Aju's) is as follows :- This should bring up the previous set rate in the "Your rate" box and it should give you the current value ahead of you. You can click the up and down arrows as long as you do NOT click the EDIT button as you WILL just cancel any changes even if you haven't made any!. (School boy logic on RS developers if you ask me). Cancel (No changes) can be effected by the Right corner X, Cancel Button or Clicking outside the "edit order" window/box.Hopefully I've got that procedure right. It works for me just make sure what ever you hit last is NOT the Green "Edit Order" button in the bottom right corner as that will definitely reset your offer to the back of the relevant rate queue. It's not the same as the old method but by £'s values it can still be useful, I feel. You will have to do a quick sum on your calculator to see whats behind and in front of you in any given rate and you need both screens to see you are not at the end of a given rate. Whilst its not the same or as easy as the old screens and I did hit the wrong button at the start I'm now tuned into the screen more now and it works well. You can actually sit in the "Unmatched orders in 1 Year" screen and use the reload option ( Right click Reload menu item, Ctrl+R) in chrome other browsers may be different. After the reload click the red pen again and the current rate value may have dropped and makes it more obvious. Note: This procedure will not work on a Tablet/Phone but on a PC where one can easily have multiple screens etc it works for me. Let me know if there are any changes to the procedure as I've not pushed this through the QA team yet (any volunteers) . Caveat emptor - RS may of course change the screens, again!

Thanks AJU, I over reacted to the messages of going to the back of the queue so haven't tried this, really useful as I have taken to guessing which loans are now too close together based on reduction in market queues.
