The Bocadillo de tortilla. A fat spanish potato tortilla in a grilled baguette. Available in all good old man Spanish bar-cafeterias. How did I live my life before I met you?

Looks like an omelette sandwich That's probably because it is... A potato omelette in a sandwich. But the denizens of Spanish bars won't put up with mediocre ones - so all the tapas and pinchons tend to be bloody good. And only uncivilised barbarians drink without eating something. There's a lot of (non-touristy) places in Spain where you can go out for the night, not actually buy any food, but end up very well fed, simply because you get a tapa with every drink - because, obvs, that's just basic civilisation. <happy sigh>

The Glaswegian one is even better- covered in batter and chucked in the fat.

Don't be ridiculous, it's Acelet surely nope give you its pronounced acelet ( if you drop your h's) although the gentry ( and those that aspire to be posh ) call it "has let"
