I think you may be correct as I do recall adjusting my investment orders down a step sometime after first creating them.
The matched loans do reflect 5% thankfully. I agree though that the system appears to be very deceptive whether intentionally or not I don't know.

Late last night there was approx. £5k available in Access at 4.8%. I reduced some of my existing unmatched orders (approx. £1k) to 4.8% to take some of it, however nothing happened. The available £5k sat there for a while afterwards, but my revised / confirmed orders remained unmatched (and they still are this morning).
It seems that either the market data isn't being displayed in real time, or the manual matching functionality doesn't work properly.

It definitely wasn't working properly yesterday. I've pulled out the 5k I had waiting for a match at 5%. What was odd that the 5.1% queue was decreasing all day. My 5k didn't show up in the 5% queue at any stage, when I paid it in, looking at the orders in the queue I was pretty certain it would hit 5%, but it just never happened.

i lent fresh money at 5.4%, and it matched me at 5.5%. The queue did not work for me also. Tried to match at 5% when lowest Lender offer showing as 5.1% and Borrower offers at 5%, but nothing. Tried cancelling and re-submitting, but nothing. Would have happily added fresh funds if had gotten a match. Gave up and left my marker at 5%, this morning discovered it matched at 5.1% - obviously no email confirmation. I need confidence in the system before I add new funds!

It definatly matched up to 6.1% (max) a few times, but didnt sweep through that. It seemed constantly to have people adding large sum at various points between 4% and 5.9/6%
I find it really odd when you suddenly get £50k turn up at 5.5% when there is nothing else below 6%. It still smacks me of people who haven't understood what they are lending, thinking that somehow lending 0.5% below the best offer will have borrowers grabbing it quick, I have never been up to come up with a plausible other explanation
I lent a little at 5.9%, on Max, which was actually a mistake, the confusing/deceitful naming of the confirm button as change meant what i was supposed to be listing at 6% ended up at 5.9% (luckily) I had feared it would be 4%!
My amounts in at 6.1% didn't clear, the 6.1% was as low as £136k at one point.
I am now starting to wonder if RS actually don't treat all the queues as one, and will match 5.1% in access before 5.6% in plus before 6.1% in Max. Its a black box so we have no way of knowing specifically.
To me there is clearly going to be another change incoming, the attempts to manipulate the rates down have done the opposite. The access is now regularly at levels very rarely seen previously.

I seem to have matched at 4.4% when all my offers were at 6% or higher (and auto is set at 6%). No idea how that happened, unless I clicked a wrong button for "going rate" at some point in the ever more complicated process of setting a rate to reinvest.

Over the last 3 days I've had matches at 5.1 and at 5 across 3 different accounts that I look after, all in Access. Everything had been set to 5. With the last match at 5, I saw the queue at 5 go up when I invested. The queue emptied, but my amount still showed as unmatched, even after about 10 hours. But this morning it had matched.
All very strange.

Well looking just now the rates dont look certain to get to 6% this weekend (max) so I triggered a full withdrawl of all cash in holding and on offers again.
A bit comes in tomorrow so that will stay, so if I am wrong I can invest, plus of course the debit card is never far away
I always withdraw on a thursday as the cash will be in my current account on the friday and earns interest over the weekend. Then I can decide what to do with it at that point

But isn't the chance of a match at higher rates better over the weekend whereas withdrawn money just sits over the weekend?

Just noticed I had 30quid uninvested, moved it to holding and expected to be able to set a rate for investment in access, 3.9%ish seems doable this evening looking at market data, no big deal but unable to find the button that allowed me to set this rate, ho well £30quid withdrawn.

But isn't the chance of a match at higher rates better over the weekend whereas withdrawn money just sits over the weekend? Withdrawn money just "sits" the same as the rest of the money I am withdrawing from P2P, the timing makes no difference, but if its unlikely to be lent at a rate I want its not earning anything on RS either. The odd thing is, if I withdraw on a Thursday, its in the bank on friday. If on Saturday or Sunday the rates go up enough, I can deposit with debit card and it wont clear my current account until the Monday, so in effect I get free interest. Yes the rates typically go up at weekends, its why I wait until the end of the week, and then decide if its likely to hit acceptable rates. Yesterday after I withdrew a large amount went to be borrowed, so the chances of better rates went up significantly. But again as I already said, the debit card is available, since its instantly available on RS as funds its no drama. If you ask for a withdrawl on Friday/Saturday or Sunday you have to wait until Monday. Its the archaic process thats embedded in RS, where there is something stopping them allowing the system to just send withdrawls at any time.

I also had some come in late as well yesterday. Its probably provision fund related or something. Although its also around pay day for some, so could be people paying loans down when they get paid

It's not obvious, it's a small red pencil at the right of the screen. I only found out by phoning ratesetter.

Yes, it's Ratesetter's way of, er, remaining true to it's descriptive name: "Ratesetter." I guess it won't be long until that little red pencill disappears one night, with no advance notice. I'm guessing that RS is monitoring Ratesetters to see how many set rates, rather than accept rates.
