Pretty sure Qardus was the leader of the Zygons, defeated by Dr Who in season 13 (Tom Baker). If they're back, watch out! Their objective was to CONQUER EARTH!

Not quite sure why the interest rate is so high if the business is so good, there are other sharia compliant lenders out there (obviously not structured as interest paying). I did not know that. There is Offa, who claim to be the first and only just launched, but they use only institutional money. And there are some offering residential mortgages but if you know of any competing with Qardus please tell.

Does it mention what happens if they do not raise the full £100,000 ? Minimum £80,000 (or what the borrower will accept I think). I'm in, but only 20K raised so far.

is there any other products similar anywhere ?? Quite like this, just want a comparison. Similar in what way? Some of the property platforms pay dividends rather than or as well as interest. I don't think I've seen any other sharia compliant platforms but I think Loanpad are hoping to have that option in the future. Lending to SPVs was quite common with development projects with mixed results! Similar in Sharia compliant, and medical ish/ pharmaceutical related loans and seeing as u mentioned it, what other platforms pay dividends ?

One of those 'small world' coincidences I guess, but their registered office is above a borrower's outlet on ABL. According to linkedin research, 3 persons .

Their second loan is now listed on their website. Looks good to me. My only concern is that if their finances are as good as the accounts suggest why would they want to borrow more? But I'm in for the same amount as the first loan. Qardus is the only investment that I know of where the standard rule that the higher the rate the higher the risk may not apply, because of the Sharia scenario.
