Trying to withdraw some money from my holding account this morning and I am getting an 'Error 520' from the Ratesetter website. I assume others must have experienced the same today? Annoyingly in the time it has been broken the money has gone back on the market, although it is highly unlikely to be lent at 8%.
You have to hand it to Ratesetter's IT department - an impressive track record for bugs, unreliability and general incompetence.

Unusable on my broadband, but using 4G on my mobile got in straight away...? Thanks. Doesn't work for me on 4G or broadband, from home or office. It is a good thing the Metro Bank takeover was announced last week, otherwise I'd be having dark thoughts about the lights going out at Ratesetter as insolvency sets in!

Working again at last. And to think Metro Bank apparently bought them for their technology platform :-)

Working again at last. And to think Metro Bank apparently bought them for their technology platform :-) I think a little latitude should be afforded RS before pointing the finger directly at them. There are many links in the internet chain and RS can't control them all. Little in the way of problem determination was undertaken by those reporting the problem, whilst another reported they could access OK via mobile. Maybe the issue was with the ISP of those affected? Or somewhere else along the chain? BridgeCrowd suffered a issue a week or so a go and that presented itself as a '5xx error' - might have even been 520, same as reported in the OP, I don't recall. Turns out it was their host experiencing a network outage. Not something BC could have directly controlled. (Although they could mitigate against it - at some expense; a cost which would no doubt be ultimately borne by lenders.)

Having been trying to all morning, I've now finally been able to withdraw money from my account.

Unusable on my broadband, but using 4G on my mobile got in straight away...? I’m not saying it is this, but as a general thing: Websites have a desktop version and a mobile version which is much lighter, pulling in fewer or different resources. Sometimes when one doesn’t work, the other does, and it’s always worth trying on any website. You can switch from one to the other version, on any device, there’s an icon in the browser to do so - e.g. in Safari it’s the little AA symbol in the address bar.
