adrianc is it just a co-incidence that the River Lugg SSSI is in the news today because it was removed by a bulldozer?

Reuters reported that a deal was imminent, only for that page to be removed and then the whole site going down.
Makes you wonder what they have been talking about for the last 2 weeks

"They're our fish now!" "No they arn't" "Are" "Arn't" "Are with knobs on" "Arn't with brass knobs on" (pause for lunch) What's interesting to consider is that in a no deal, Britain will insist in full sovereignty over its fishing area, but the EU trawlers will continue fishing as normal. Britain lacks the ships that could enforce its claim.

Reuters reported that a deal was imminent, only for that page to be removed and then the whole site going down. Talks to reach a post-Brexit trade deal have been paused, because UK and EU negotiators say "significant divergences" remain. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-55191432
Makes you wonder what they have been talking about for the last 2 weeks I assume it means the Chief Negotiators (Frost & Barnier) have reached the limit of their negotiating mandates, and that the deadlock can only be broken by further concessions from their political leaders (Johnson & von der Leyen/Merkel/Macron). The same thing happened on the Withdrawal Agreement with the deadlock being broken by Johnson & Varadkar in Cheshire (IIRC).

Don't worry, once the SNP achieve independence and take half the UKs fishing waters with them, the dregs of the UK fleet will have a far smaller area to defend.

... or for the last 4 years. Those who initially pushed the agenda didn't want any deals.

Somebody should be going down. But, no, it's a different stretch of the Lugg to the bit an Eastern Hereford bypass would go across. Seems to be near Kingsland, north of Leominster, nearly 15 miles north crow-fly.

Who has labelled his statements as lies? My understanding is that social media outlets such as Twitter are just tagging them as lacking in evidence to support what is said.

I listened to a lot of US media around the time he was stating he had won the election, that there was widespread fraud etc, and they outright called his statement lies. It was refreshing.
