He is a real life example of the "Peter Principle" at lease twice!

Not sure I'd use the word odious to describe him.
But he's certainly <<insert adverb of choice>> useless.

He's a lovely cuddly human being. We should all be grateful for his broad shoulders and thick skin that have been able to shrug off the brickbats fired by lesser mortals wrongly jealous of his firm grasp of the principles of honesty, decency and integrity. It can only be a 1 can't it?

IMHO. he did a SH!T. job at the FCA. this was noted on his arrival. but he fitted into the old boys club mould ...... so a 13 for me
BOE want inflation lower, government want us to have more money to spend ??
Only way to get inflation down is to bring down the price of energy..

You mean Andrew "out for lunch" Bailey as Mark Carney calls him.
He has one job, control inflation. Now inflation higher than any western country perusing his policies.
I call him asleep at the wheel, "inflation only transitory", how many times did he say that and who believed him, I certainly did not. He printed vast amount of money and then was surprised when inflation took off, he obviously has no knowledge of economics or history as every time you print vast amounts of money you get high inflation. However he does have a great salary.
This is the man who helped bring down Liz Truss as he collapse the £ by only raising interest rates by 0.25% after FED raised by 0.5% and then criticised the budget and also ended its emergency support for the bond markets. At the very least the criticising the budget was overtly political something which he his banned from doing, the other 2 are covertly political.
Mervyn King has also criticised him.
The man who asked workers for pay restraint while earning over £500,000pa after causing the problem.
So on a scale of 1 great to 10 useless, I give him 15, worse than useless and a clear and present danger to the UK economy.
A small tip to the Coverseratives about Andrew Bailey, Rishi Sunak and Jeremy Hunt, don't give the keys back to the people who crashed the car, oh dear they already did that.
I call them Andrew asleep at the wheel Bailey, spend it like Sunak and High tax Hunt.

He really is odious. He has trotted out the lame " Lessons have been learned" mantra. Again. "He said: 'I think there are some very big lessons in how we operate monetary policy in the face of very big shocks. Because the shocks that we have faced have been unprecedented. 'I think there are big lessons about how we operate policy in that world – in a world of very big uncertainty.' " This FornicationWit is on Half a Mill a year! He is performing exactly the same damage "magic" he unleashed whilst head of the FCA. WHO, HOW and WHY supports him and propelled him into the BoE job? SACK him NOW. ( PS - No, I don't like the man. )
