Has anyone used the AI feature to aid description? I tried it once and thought it was too flashy for some lower priced stuff like books etc. I believe its better to be honest about stuff rather than end up in a disagreement. Clever feature but poss only appropriate in certain circumstances. I posted elsewhere about this :- I listed the same item with a rearrangement of the title on one I used the AI description on the other I used my own after 3 months the AI description sold was 0 but I'd sold 8 with my previous standard description

Buyers prefer an honest human description.

LOL
received a parcel on Saturday, opened it and the packing slip is for an item I was expecting, however the contents completely different, different make of camera, lenses, and bag.
So I emailed the seller, with pictures and pointed out that the item I'd received was on his listings on eBay, I get back a message saying "sorry don't work weekends, will be in contact on Monday"
Oddly this person has most of his items sending Saturday or Sunday which means many questions won't be answered
anyway he gets back to me Monday afternoon, and asks what the problem is so I explain again, I get a "does it really matter" message, so I explain yes it does ( I deal in a very specific range of cameras and lenses ) I didn't mention that what was sent was far less valuable than the item purchased.
In the end he agreed to send a return label which arrived earlier, and when it arrives he will send my item
Printed it out attached to parcel and took to post office, they say it should arrive by Friday.
So this guy will have 2 upset buyers me because my item will take at least 2 weeks to arrive, and the person who purchased the one I've sent back as his item won't hit the system until at least Friday night so will be at least 8-9 days from paying.

I sold a lens at the weekend clearly marked "damaged" buyer has received it and say's "it's damaged"
He wants either a full refund and keep the lens or I upgrade the lens to a perfect one, that I would sell at over twice the price
I said "I can refund or swap it for a broadly comparable lens"
the answer " I'm the customer you are a business, the business should always give the customer what they want"
now this feels like a scripted response, ie it's a ploy Buy a damaged item cheap then insist the seller swaps it for a perfect one

Customer wants return? I suppose the return policy is straightforward. Click return, a return label printed, once delivered and custom gets refund for the item paid āno matter what / how some weightā was āreturnedā and ādeliveredā.
Exchange of conversation is definitely not part of the return process on the bay. Hopefully, Keith doesnāt lose out much on return. Good luck.
ākeeping it freeā is not standard bay policy, but in the exceptional circumstances, fraud happens.

Well it looks like the right item and doesn't look like it's been tampered with.
this exchange last night :-
"can you adjust your selling price on this lens please, as it won't accept my offer of Ā£25",
"why would I take Ā£25 for this lens, I have people willing to pay full price" my selling price is Ā£49.99
"Another seller told me he would do it for Ā£25, but doesn't have any"
"Perhaps that's why he has none he's selling it too cheap"
"YABAAH, I need this and can only afford Ā£25 including postage"
took ages to work out what YABAAH meant :- You Are Being An AH
and he really thinks that's how to get a seller to help
message reported to eBay, and he's on my block list

"Another seller told me he would do it for Ā£25, but doesn't have any" This reminds me of a time in the 1980's when I went into a shop to buy a cd player. I asked if they would match the price of a shop down the road that was Ā£20 cheaper than theirs. "Why don't you buy it from the other shop" was their reply. "Because they don't have any in stock" I said. "Ah, Ours are Ā£20 cheaper when we have none in stock" said the shopkeeper

took ages to work out what YABAAH meant :- You Are Being An AH and he really thinks that's how to get a seller to help Obviously a proponent of YCMFWVTH! * ... or maybe just that's how they spell "Yebbut" (Yes, but ... The B-side to Ariana Grande's new song?)
I notice occasional angry (dare I say, unhinged?) customers on a certain mobile provider's website (GG) who think they are talking directly to the company/agents for GG.
"You stole my money" "Your company is just robbing , how is this allowed?" etc.
They are not going to get very far resolving the problem, as the people replying are other customers trying to help them, and when they do eventually get a clue and speak to an AGENT to resolve the problem, I suspect it won't go well.
