Landbay have made two exciting announcements over the past week.
Firstly, we have appointed Robert Burgess to our board of directors. Robert was co-founder of Exchange Associates, the first dedicated UK peer-to-peer fund. Robert also brings over 20 years of senior experience in retail finance, from a range of executive roles at established names such as Alliance Trust, Lloyds TSB, Scottish Widows and Thomas Cook. His energies in recent years have been passionately focussed on the rapidly emerging challenger sector.
Robert's expertise in financial services and profound knowledge of the peer-to-peer sector will be of great value to Landbay, and we look forward to working with him.

Landbay's second piece of news was announced by our CEO and co-founder, John Goodall, at the AltFi Europe Summit last week. We are setting new standards of transparency within the peer-to-peer sector. We commit to share data on a loan by loan basis - including type of property being lent against, loan-to-value, rental coverage, location, the interest rate paid by the borrower and the interest rate paid to the lender.
The borrower rate is the best indicator of risk for a particular loan – and so Landbay will publish this for every loan that it makes.
Detailed evidence of diversification and the safety margins involved are all important parts of how Landbay mitigates risk on behalf of its lenders.
Landbay hope that this will set new standards of openness in the peer-to-peer sector, making it easier than ever for anyone to assess risk, diversification, margin taken by the platform, and more.
