From looking at the number of posts on the P2P forums for various platforms, you'd think that FK is on the way out. I am a relatively new FK investor after a few years on other platforms so I just have this one newbie question: Does such thing as an early closer (a la FC) ever happen on FK? Or does early bidding just serve the purpose of tying money up for a week in order to land a rate 0.01% higher than if you wait until the last hour?

Certainly dont recall one closing early, though Im only a casual visitor lately. There isnt really any point as the auctions are quite short anyway and the limited loan flow means they generally get a better rate. Yes, though it also serves the purpose of actually getting a bid in, as I always forget to come back before the auction closes

Happy to advise and reassure, FundingKnight had a record March - see comment from Altfi News:
"Funding Knight had a stellar month, setting a new platform best by lending almost £3m over the course of March. In doing so, it almost trebled its previous best month. It is really great to see the labours of this hard working platform begin to translate into good volume growth. "
In respect of closing an auction early; we can close early at the request of the borrower. You will see that we work with our borrowers and offer shorter than 7 day auctions according to their needs - today one of our loans has been offered on an auction to close in 5 days.

Your platform is well suited for 5 days auctions and personally I would be happy if all auctions finish in 5 days.
