In recent posts I've seen a few people refer to THC. Is that Thin Cats (which I thought had the convention of being shortened to TC) or something else? elljay Could be worth a quick update to the OP to include some of the newer platforms that have cropped up in the last year or so, such as AR - Ablrate MT - Money Thing LC - Lending Crowd I assume THC = The House Crowd Thanks. It was mentioned on the apple pie thread. I guess this is why having an up-to-date glossary would be useful ... lots of new kids on the block and it's helpful to reference to make sure we're all using the same conventions.

...and personally in my spreadsheets/pie I've been using ABL for ABLrate... but whatever.... my pie was straight out of my personal spreadsheet anyway and the labels not originally intended for anyone else

Should I claim P2PBA while there is a rush?

If you're referring to my pie, then stevet is correct :-) Yes - saw it on a couple and yours was one. Yeah - this was another one I spotted, people seem to be split between abbreviating Ablrate to either ABL or AR. I guess it doesn't really matter unless there's another platform that it could be confused with (which was why I queried THC as possibly referring to Thin Cats).

The curse of acronyms: lose comprehension for the sake of four or five keystrokes... In the days of T9, there was some justification, but now? The fight goes on. Sorry - TFGO.

I know I have a reputation for bleating on and on about acronyms, but what is so difficult about typing "Big hitter" or "High net worth"? All I see on this thread is a failure to communicate. (This is a personal opinion, and in no way reflects the views of others who are wrong... )

SKPY - Skippy. A poster who has important things to say but requires a convenient human interpreter to render them intelligible. This would take in comedic errors in spelling, grammar, facts, emotional incontinence and other forum faux pas. (We're all only a fat finger away from being a SKPY.) Oi! this sounds a bit personal.....do you know my sister, she used to say I had fat fingers!!

I claimed the first Skippy post by misspelling later in the thread, so the heat is off you.

I struggle with some of the acronyms ("A") on this site. I came here hoping to find a full list, but it is sadly lacking......what would be really useful would be what I think is called a rollover, whereby as you move the cursor over an "A", a box opens to show a full description.
