I'd only just made another deposit yesterday, to be available today (first one for almost a month during the "drought"). Now I've had to make another one after grabbing a decent slice of this watch.
Back to the good old days ?

Quite surprised there's so much free cash on the platform - 5k left I'm not, given the rate my cash balance has been going up lately. There could be many with a large cash balance waiting for somewhere to put it. This loan is very welcome at the moment.

Sadly, I missed out on this today - gmail parked the email in the 'promotions' folder rather than primary, so I didn't see it until way too late. There must be some way to stop this happening as looking back, I see this has happened several times.
I'm puzzled as to why this loan wasn't autoallocated, either via provision trust or bespoke loans?

I'm limiting myself to around 2% of my total Unb holding for individual loans of this type. What do you think? Am I being too cautious?

Depends Mikk, on what you feel comfortable with.
I've put in mid-three figures, on the basis that the borrower has previously repaid a substantial loan, that this one has a low ltv and that we have recourse to the asset in a default.

Everybody has different investment limits, but I look at it as the asset type rather then the site. When the loan was previous up I had only just joined and had about 70% of my holding on Unbolted in that one loan for quite a while due to the auto investment being relatively slow. Although this time round I will only hopefully have about 10% of my investment in Unbolted in it.

Given that the borrower has track record with ubl, the asset is well known and held securely and there is a personal guarantee that means something this one is excellent. I too went in large on the first loan. I hope it hangs around as it did before😊 then I can invest returning cash.

Thanks all for your comments. stub8535, why does this personal guarantee mean something, what's different about it? It's a genuine question, as my understanding is that they have very little value if push comes to shove.

I tend to limit bids to a maximum of 2% of my total p2p exposure (for loans where I'm very confident in the security) rather than 2% of the balance on a particular platform. 2% of my UB profile would be pretty small since it's taking a while to build up a portfolio. I look at it as if I would be willing to lend my maximum amount against a particular security on MT or Col, then why not here regardless of total on the platform.

The latest loan is taking a while to shift, there's still £120K available. I thought it would have all been snapped up by now!

As suggested by others earlier, it is about your diversification/ risk strategy. How much you want to place on any one platform, with any one lender/ loan etc. Alongside what for many will now be a large portfolio of £5 loans, several hundred or thousands of pounds in one loan may be a step too far.
