Any advice on the best way to fund my account with Twino? Tried TransferWise but the " quotation marks in the beneficiaries name were not accepted. Also how does Twino get any withdrawals back to investors? Is it to a UK bank account? Can it be done through TransferWise? Any help appreciated.... I use transferwise to send money to Twino I ignore the quotes and just put SIA Twino in the name field Also you can't add the whole reference/purpose code, so I suggest you just use "Client No. XXXXXX" (without quotes) as the reference on Transferwise. For withdraw they transfer money back to UK account (don't know what service they use but is decent exchange rate) I tried getting them to come to this forum, but communication is issue for them it seems.

Wohooo! Thanks James BTW, heard from Twino about FCA "Yes, we know that for a lot of English investors the FCA sertificate is important, so we have started to work on it, we assume that in 6 months TWINO will have it. If You have time, please see our finabay web page (www.finabay.com) , maybe that should give more clear picture of who FinaBay is. FinaBay operates already for more that 7 years and we have companies operating in 6 countries, yet 2 more to open this year! I hope I answered to some of your conceres." (sic)

To top up/ add funds to Your investor account You can use: Transferwise, Paysera or Your private bank account, but for funds witdrawals Twino make transfer directly to Your bank account number. Twino is working with EUR currency and all payments are made in Euros, in case of other currency Twino make currency exchange according to that day bank`s exchange rate.

You have to make the first payment from your private bank account, but next one you can pay from TransferWise or other. And you are right about the quotation mark it's not possible to use them in any kind of transfers, so please write without. Could Twino explain why at least one transaction has to be through a UK (in my case) bank. I would like to lend through them but the costs of sending money from my account are high plus the exchange rate is poor.
I am lending through Mintos who allow both deposits and withdrawals through TransferWise. All they required was a copy of my passport.
Please Twino.....let me use TransferWise!!!

I assume two reasons 1) identification (KYC & AML) 2) to identify which account a withdrawl can go to. (Lock that as eligable account for withdrawals). That is actually for your own safety, because otherwise if someone managed to login into your account they could request a withdrawal to a bank account not owned by you.
As said, this is just an assuption based on usual practises by other marketplaces. I have no knowledge about Twino's reasons.

Hi, According to our rules, the first transaction must be done from Your personal bank account to confirm Your identification. You can add money to your Twino account also using service of TransferWise company. In case if You request funds withdraw, money will be transferred only to Your personal bank account. Twino is planning to implement Transferwise service to receive and make transactions. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us: info@twino.eu

I guess the best solution would be to make a small transfer via regular bank account to confirm your identity and later deposit via TW.

Hi twino,
Is it still the case that I need to do a direct money transfer from my £ account for my first transfer or can I use TransferWise. I have recently joined Mintos and they managed to see my account details even though my transfer was via TransferWise, given that I am only looking to transfer a smallish amount I would rather not have to pay the crazy rates and fees my bank would charge, even if this is just for the 1st transfer.
