Afternoon,
I am pleased to report that after todays testing we think we are almost there with the SM! We are now just testing all the possible extreme cases to try and get the platform to trip up although it all appears robust with no bugs found...yet.
I'm afraid that we can't easily open up our development environment to some willing volunteers but thank you for the offer.
Since we will likely have a couple of loans going live on the platform tomorrow, we are looking to schedule the release of the SM on Thursday when there should be less traffic.
Looking forward to hearing your feedback once launched.
Kind regards,
Ed

We will shortly be launching a couple of new loans at 4pm today (announcement going out shortly), and therefore will look to launch the SM later this afternoon/evening. Kind regards, Ed.

I am with Ramblin Rose on this issue. I like the SS's SM as is. Very simple to use and effective. You buy how much you want and sell how much you want. The fact that there are no fees (on SS) and that transactions happen at par is an even bigger incentive. I have managed to diversify and invest all the money I wanted very easily and relatively quickly. On other platforms I have money which is unused - not so on SS. Another thing which I do not understand. What is wrong with flippers? (BTW I love dolphins) Under the old regime at FC flippers performed some useful services, and got their cut for it. The were de facto underwriters on large loans were there wouldn't otherwise have been enough money, they evened out the money flows, and they provided a source of loan parts for new lenders wishing to diversify. It was probably also better to buy from the flippers than using autobid, or trying to predict the closing rate on a loan yourself. Under the new regime those roles have more or less gone away. Instead they are taking advantage of the appetite for E grade loans. They grab large chunks of the loan as soon as it's listing using bots, and sell it on at a premium on the SM. But if they hadn't grabbed so much of the loan many of their customers could have bought on the primary market at a better price. However many E loans are going so fast they're not available to people who can only log in during the evening, so still a semblance of an argument that flippers are adding value. On the other hand perhaps in the absence of flippers grabbing so much so early the loans would stay available into the evening. (An alternative means of giving access to evening lenders that I've thought of before is that FC should start some of their loans later in the day; perhaps even after working hours.)

How will prioritisation of sales for loans which MT still hold a chunk (i.e. recenely launched loans) be handled ?
Presumably for other selllers it will always be first in (the queue to sell), first out; but will MT always be at the front of the queue ?

Unfortunately mailchimp is currently offline so I can't email investors at the moment but as soon as it is I will send out a mail.
Kind regards,
Ed

I can see the link on my own loan parts to put them up for sale. But I can't see anywhere to purchase any for sale by others. Unless they just appear as a percentage available on the Live Loans page?

Unless they just appear as a percentage available on the Live Loans page? Yep, looks like this. When you press Sell you get a box asking how much and then it simply appears as a % available for others to buy.
