That reduction is a nice way of forcing us to pull out of the one month. Landbay here i come Not sure why a platform would be scared of having people investing at modest percentages on a month rate, surely its win win all round. J

J I suppose it depends how many people with draw , put money in. If it varies a lot month from month they will never know how much money they have from theand will be hard to invest it for them

Let me know if you need a referral I'm already in I'm afraid - i shall just be in a little more now! As both Landbay and Wellesley are property based i consider them to be part of the same 'property' pot which i try not to overcook (eg by getting overenthusiastic with SS) Jack P

I guess the issue is there is too much money not on loan it is about 12% of my funds in 30 day account. Anyway notice given for the whole lot which should help Wellesley improve this % a bit and I am off to Landbay, hopefully with a lot of people doing this it will not encourage Landbay to reduce rates.

I've gone to Landbay, but also Assetz Capital's new 30 day notice account paying 4.25%.

I'm locked in for another 9 months else they'll want their iPad back Had happily been putting repayments back into the 30 day market. Once my 18 month term is over I'll take all my money out and and not look back, Landbay and Assetz Capital are much more appealing.

Earlier this afternoon the rates page on the W&Co website www.wellesley.co.uk/products/peer-to-peer-lending/ was refreshed with major reductions in rates.
The 4 and 5 year terms have been removed (the former only added less than a month ago)
The 1 ,2 and 3 year rates have all been reduced by around 0.8 to 0.9% pa
Here's my usual table of XIRR (which is almost identical to AER ) of the new rates:
E&OE
EDIT (again): W&Co may have messed up the "At maturity" rates this time by stating the rates they had intended as AER as simple flat rates (which is confirmed once logged in via the "Select your term" button).

The rate reductions don't surprise me. Rates are falling across the board on all property based lending - just look at the rates on AC MLIA. There are many things I like about Wellesley. That's why I had made an allocation to them in the 'safe' portion of my lending portfolio.
However, their lack of communication is a bit disconcerting. Rates change, markets are added/dropped but no email or update of any sort.
They probably target the completely hands off audience.
