Thanks that covers the aspects involved: whether the value can really be realised and whether it would be possible to have another buyer buy the aircraft from the original owner, potentially leaving a right to buy that can't be exercised ina meaningful way - asdressed by the exclusivity aspect. All of this stuff is unlikely but that's what the legals are for, in part, to provide for the unlikely unpleasant cases that none of us want or expect. I was pretty sure that you and Andy would have covered those well, just didn't see sufficient description of the matters so that investors would be confident that they were addressed: so work done, but perhaps not pitched well enough to investors the loan is being sold to.

Its a good point, I will check the docs again and perhaps amend the proposal to make it a little clearer.. Regards Ablrate

You might also have noticed the recent question here about what instant returns means and may perhaps expand on that in the more full description, saying something like "instant returns, meaning you get paid from your money is bid, not just when the loan is paid out". I know what instant returns means but I'm not a new to Ablrate investor...

It's currently being operated in Colombia by SATENA. Sorry - ablrate will know the insurance valuation but I don't.

Just tried to dump my accummulated interest into this loan and get the following error message The amount invested cannot be less than the minimum trade specified.
New one on me as never had an issue with investing small sums previously. Also cant see any minimum trade specified anywhere
@ablrateandy - could you enlighten me? Given its Sunday PM, in this instance tomorrow will be fine

ilmoro - Tomorrow is for the weak. There is £100 minimum trade - it is normal practice for us although not widely yelled about. Sorry - I suspect it became so usual that we omitted to put it in the docs

ilmoro: just registered with ABL. Found out this limit immediately. I would have preferred to start with a smaller amount to dip my fingers.

The £100 is an institutionalised legacy from when loans were in "units". Anything on the secondary market is minimum of 1p though and indeed once you have invested £100 in a new loan you can increase this in increments of 1p.
Yes - a bit inconsistent. We'll have an internal discussion on it tomorrow and see whether we might change the approach going forwards. On this loan though, we won't be able to change it.

Had been dumping peanuts into waste equip loan but only after a more substantial initial sum. Forgot about old unit minimum assumed went with old site.

ablrate or ablrateandy would one of you be kind enough to start a new topic "Current offers, Ablrate staff only" with this as the content in a regularly edited initial post: 1. currently live new loan offers with a minimal summary of their terms: rate, term, instant returns or not, amount remaining to fill, minimal one sentence summary. 2. Current active secondary market offers in descending XIRR order, also giving the mark up and own and remaining term. Not sorted or grouped by loan, strict XIRR order. Threshold of 3% minimum for the XIRR. 3. Current secondary market bids, as with 2. The purpose is to make it easier for those who don't have an Ablrate account to know what's available to buy (new and offers) as well as to provide current customers with a secondary market summary. Ther are some nice enough new loans and decent secondary market rates compared to other platforms but they aren't as visible as they could be to potential newcomers.

Currently flagged as late with first repayment.
Not sweating here, just adding to the record.

Not been with AR long - do they usually process payments on a Sunday?
