Hello, patright ! The skepticism had little to do with Bondora, but rather with me, a marketing professional, running a peer lending platform. Sincerely, Jevgenijs Hey jevgenijs, Skepticism (at least from my perspective) is little to do with you being a marketing professional and more of you being associated with Bandora, patright Look at default rates of Bandora and then you will know why people don't seem to prefer that platform much. Twino and Jevgenjis have not yet given be any chance to be disappointed, yet.

Look at default rates of Bandora and then you will know why people don't seem to prefer that platform much. Not just the default rates, but the appalling way in which they treat their investors.

Hi, trying to get a handle on this. All dodgy loans are bought back? Seems to good to be true! What's the catch, and why then are you advised to 'spread the risk' over different loans? There has to be risk involved somewhere, so who is risking losses?

I think spreading risk is just standard good practice, but could refer to loans which they allow to extend for up to 6 months, where you only receive interest without any capital so your investment takes longer than you expect to repay.
I assume that the interest rates we are receiving although attractive, are well below that charged by Finabay and the defaults are covered from the difference. Interest rates for personal loans in Eastern Europe are far higher than in the UK.
The big advantage of this system is that investors are not being taxed on non existent profits when the interest payments are mainly swallowed by defaults as is the case at Bondora for example.
A lot of big mistakes have been made by various platforms experimenting at the expense of investors and I believe this one has learned from those and launched an ideal model.
What's the catch? I don't see one but who knows when it comes to the internet. I don't believe in sayings like "you get what you pay for" or "too good to be true" so am not cautious by nature.

Well thanks for that, though I'm not sure I can be bothered in dealing with Euro transactions.

It will take more than one post to respond to your questions, but let me start with those: "When will the 2014 be audited, it seems rather late?`" Can't wait to change "Unaudited" to "Audited" on the website myself. Coming any day now. One month later, no audit over 2014 yet, when are you expecting this now?

I've given up now on Twino. They still cannot get the accounts signed off, so there is a problem they won't talk about. Ultra high interest rate short term loans à la Bondora are vulnerable anyway, and with the turbulence on the Stock Markets I don't feel safe. That's my take.
