Some joker putting a fiver up on all the pictures... MoneyThing Time for a minimum buy/sale amount? I suggest £25... I would guess that was just someone seeing how the secondary market worked

This time next year we'll be millionaires Rodney! And my point stands. £25 is a "small amount" in anyone's money. A fiver is just an unnecessary irritant...

I did exactly the same, I would not bother selling less the £25 either probably but to someone that only has a small amount on here would be useful for them to be able to diversify over many loans if they so wished. It is hardly much of an issue if someone wants to put £5 on, just do not buy it if you are not interested, there is a massive 73p on SS too , so add that to your £5 you be well away

Evening, Just to let you know that I have been contacted by an investor today to let me know that they wish to sell down their substantial holding in MT277 (Cardiff land with planning for student accommodation), as they are hoping to try and use these funds to purchase a property over the next week or two which has just become available. As such they are going to start selling this loan this evening and see far they get over the next few days in tranches of £10,000. Kind regards, Ed MoneyThing : Thanks for letting us know about that Ed. It's always a bit worrying when you see large amounts of a loan apparently being dumped - "Do they know something we don't?" - so it's good to know the reason, especially in advance.

Maybe to you and I but not to everyone - I am always suprised at how small the size of some of the purchases are each time a loan goes live - if you look at Recent Transactions spotting less than £25/10/5 isn't uncommon. I don't know why they would bother to invest in such small sums (unless accumulated interest) but its their choice..

Large chunks of Lambo and Cardiff land available right now... Plus a little Asset Exchange portfolio.

I would guess that was just someone seeing how the secondary market worked I have today sold down my holding on the soon to renew pictures so that the buyer can gain the renewal rites as I didn't intend to renew. I only had £50 on each but even that was dribbled down on some of them. At one time I had £1.00 left to sell on one picture. This might explain the £5.00 comment above.

I've been watching (on and off) trading in P2P Global, and it's quite surprising how small the majority of the trades are - in the hundreds of pounds rather than thousands. I know that commissions have come down in price a lot, and that there are low cost frequent trader rates, but even so that means that commission takes quite a bite.

I'm about to sell down a few bits and bobs on SM (to diversify into the new Broadoak loan) if anyone is looking to pick up stakes in other loans.

Some of us have no money to buy, due to the renewals error this morning. Personally, I would hope people would just back off from doing anything until this fairly major problem is sorted!
