When I saw the odd rate inversion around 8 am today, I quickly plonked a bit of cash in at 5.6% Although it was matched immediately at 5.6%, three and a half hours on, I see that the loan is still waiting to be formed. Isn't this an unusually long delay? I see the amounts on offer below 5.6% are disappearing slowly, though I have no idea if this is being matched or just withdrawn and rebooked at the higher rate. Anyway, 'twas a nice Christmas present and I may go and treat myself to the 40" UHD monitor for my PC that I've been thinking about.... And a Happy Christmas to all! Dermot

This has also happened to me this morning. As of 15.15 it is still showing as waiting to be formed. Not in my holding account or waiting to be matched. It is like it is stuck in transit. Hope it is not like this all over Christmas as it is really going to confuse me. westonkevRS - please could you check this out. Thanks Happy Christmas to all

As I said on another thread, I had money waiting to be matched at 5.2, and had to increase it to 5.6% before it was matched. I have known this happen before. The loan still has still not been formed.

westonkevRS - please could you check this out. Thanks Happy Christmas to all Sorry comrade, I'm OOO until January 2016. This'll have to go through the official Customer Services route, hopefully it'll get itself sorted before.... Kevin.

Thanks Morris... but the loan was matched. It is stuck in waiting to be formed. I can't do anything with my money at the moment, as it is not showing anywhere but "in waiting to be formed" and I can't access this. It is in limbo.. The borrower request was for Over £112,000.00, so I presume I am not the only one affected. Trouble is I am now reluctant to have any more of my money in the waiting area's. so I will have to place it in the holding account until this is sorted. I am sure it will be, but not now until after Christmas, which is a bit of a pain.
Have a good Christmas Kev and everyone.

Still waiting in forming... but received an email today from Ratesetter, which I was not expecting as it still being the holiday's.. must be committed, to work on a Bank Holiday.
It states..
" Thank you for your email. Having reviewed your account, I acknowledge your order for £xxx.xx has been matched on the 3 year market but is waiting to be formed. A large sell-out took place during the Christmas period, which has been partially filled with your order. As our offices have been closed recently and the markets have been quieter due to the holiday season, the sell-out request is yet to be fulfilled. 2 Until this sell-out is completed, your order will remain as “Waiting to be formed”. However, the demand should increase tomorrow and we are hopeful your order will be formed soon.
I hope this has answered your query. However, if you need any further help please do not hesitate to contact us. "
Still not sure this makes sense to me, as the full £112,000.00 that was on the market was matched by lenders, unless there was a much larger amount and this only formed part of the loan request... That however does not make sense to me either, as surely the borrower would have requested a lower request. Mine was matched at 5.6% and I have no idea the size of the borrower request. As I say when I matched it was for just over £112,000.00 and as far as I could make out all of that amount was also matched at 5.6% so where they larger amount comes from I have no idea.
Hopefully tomorrow, this will be resolved... However must say this explanation has left me confused. If it is someone selling their holdings at 5.6% I was unaware that the seller could stipulate a rate.
Hope those this also affects can make more sense of this than me. Confused.com

one possible translation is ..........we had PCP finger and pressed the wrong button. Hopefully there will be enough borrowers at around 5.6 to save our behinds and have santa not take back all our presents.

Mine too and I agree about notification.
I used to like Ratesetter but it has become a real PITA since the changes to the lending rules. Maybe it's time to move on but I don't know where.

I look forward to hearing about how, in fact, this will turn out to have been our fault all along.
