Just set up an account, and made a transfer via transferwise, or something like that. Have established investors got any tips or thoughts that i would benefit from?

The usual, nothing Mintos specific - start slow, understand the marketplace before investing larger amounts - diversify - your money is tied up for (most of) the term, so consider if you might need it sometime in the future; early exit via the secondary market is possible, but not guaranteed (1% seller fee)
Some, but not all loans have buyback guarantees. While this is good, understand that risks still remain.

oh and P.S.: if you invest on the primary market manually you may want to select the filter to only show current loans

Diversify. Different loan originators, different loan products. I personally invest 10E in each new loan.
