I understood it to mean that it was a different borrower.

True, this one wasn't SD, but the post reveals that SD was the borrower on some other loans, and the info given took me straight to SD's full name in the obvious place to look.

Sorry for the question, but I forgot how MT pays interest - from the moment of committing funds, from filling the loan 100% or from "loan acceptance".

Thanks very much for the useful info. The Bolton loan looks good. I like the duration too. Time to scrape some pennies.

Hi all I'm a new investor with MT, and have taken my first bite with this loan. Looks pretty attractive to me, but seems to be filling quite slowly. Is that what you more experienced MT investors expected? thanks

Hi all I'm a new investor with MT, and have taken my first bite with this loan. Looks pretty attractive to me, but seems to be filling quite slowly. Is that what you more experienced MT investors expected? thanks Hi spareafewcoppersguv . I was expecting to see this loan go a little faster than this, but there seems to have been a bit of over supply recently on a number of platforms from what I've read, even the SS SM was bloated for a while, so I'm not really surprised that it's going a little slowly. Although MT is growing steadily (growing by reputation rather than advertising), this loan is big for the investor base, and the biggest loan so far. I think this is a very good loan, especially as it looks solid and has a long life, so I've taken a good bite as a longer term investment. I don't think it's going slowly because of any doubts about the quality of the loan, just a case of current supply and demand and MT's investor numbers. Enjoy the chance to invest at leisure while it lasts

It's raised (across both tranches) over £420K in under 3 days which, with several other big loans available on rival platforms, is faster than I'd expected. No doubt that it will fill in due course as it looks a strong investment (IMHO), certainly compared to some of those elsewhere. The longer term is an attraction for me given the potential for a flood of new IFISA money later this year to push market rates downwards.
I forget how long the 2 Cardiff tranches (MT277 and MT328) took to fill in total, which is the only other MT loan of a comparable size, but I suspect it was longer. That said, those 2 tranches were launched several weeks apart, in different market conditions, and the second one had a boosted rate (since it ranked after the first) so it's unfair to compare directly. Certainly the Manchester loan (BPF310) took a couple of weeks to fill, in part because of the lower rate.
