So you put the DD in place for new repayments that are sub £5k (keeping standing orders for amounts above) until they increase the threshold.
Once they do, you transition the larger repayments onto DD. This is what most platforms have had to do.

We collect hundreds of thousand of pounds per month with no issues on standing order with the odd borrower being a pain. We have been looking at other payment solutions that work at scale and will let lenders know when we have implemented this.

I was under the impression there was an unwritten convention that platforms reps didn't post on other platforms threads?
It could probably get amusing sometimes if they did, but personally I think it shows poor judgement.

The two platforms are like chalk and cheese. What matters on this one is the level of supervision over the payments made, or occasionally not made on time. And on that measure Ablrate is second-to-none.

Whereas Rebs is second to everyone on this measure (and many others for that matter) ... quite amusing really that a failing platform feels qualified to give advice to a successful one

I have no direct experience of Rebs, and have always been put off by the pretentious name. They started in 2013, but to be fair it can take quite some time and a lot more lending to rebuild a society. Perhaps after Brexit.

I made a payment yesterday from a UK high street bank, no sign of it so far.

From the ABL website "Bank transfers sent by Fastpay in the UK will usually be credited same day (if a business day). Overseas payments may take longer. Debit card payments are credited immediately. " When you say "from a UK high street bank" do you mean over the counter? that could easily be a couple of days but online should be quicker to get to ABL but then they have to process it. The best way by far is with a debit card on the ABL site and that is virtually instant. LW

LW Not quite, I set them up as a payee and transferred money online, directly from my current account to ABL yesterday. It’s left my donor account but no sign of it it in ABL worryingly. I guess I’ll wait until tomorrow before I panic. Thanks. ( I’ve done it by card before but got fed up of all the rekeying so wanted to try this)

Probably dependent on the human attention at the Ablrate end - which I think is how it works. I doubt there are many minions whose sole job is to handle bank transfers in and out of accounts, and there will be a target service time.
