James, you could be overthinking this I think that pedantry is a noble cause when employed as in this discussion. I also wonder how much extra chocolate LucyThing is going to get by way of redress for late payment. ....yes, she is fully aware of the powerful force of compound interest!! (Even though she has yet to give me an answer as to which bar(s) she would like....interest is still accruing)

I also wonder how much extra chocolate LucyThing is going to get by way of redress for late payment. That explains why MoneyThing delayed starting this thread until the 6th. I am assuming any additional extra chocolate will be included in LucyThing's P11D so at least she won't have to declare this benefit in kind until next years SA return

Im looking forward to the response to the complex & difficult question that will follow if he wins As a result of james input, MT must have come to realise the complexity of working out the correct percentage. The matter is now a priority. The whole team at MT is busy working out the correct percentage. Do not bother them with other issues until they have the answer.

Except LucyThing who is currently pondering the same complex & difficult question that may confront james and unable to consider other less important tasks. And Ed who is nervously watching his compound chocolate calculator tick up to an astronomical level.

Ed's probably confusing what sex a person has with what their gender is I'm going with 10% gay, 3% bisexual and 25% female. This is not a straight answer. IMO your chance of winning the choc is nought. Well how could it be a straight answer. 50.5%

According to my spreadsheet, using a typically overcomplicated algorithm, the answer is 69% females.

26.7% cos I asked my daughter and she said 1 in 4 and a bit. But did she mean "(1 in 4) and a bit" or "1 in (4 and a bit)"?

Ah so I suppose you were surprised (in your OP) by how small it was. I had guessed the opposite. Never mind I have an Easter egg left.

I guessed exactly double (to within a rounding error). Like littleoldlady, I was assuming you were surprised by how large the percentage was, rather than how small.
