ablrate ablrateandy Is the ATR72-200 on course to repay tomorrow? Some investors may be holding off on the new loan as 200k is due back and can be recycled Edit Why is the ATR42-500 MSN532 loan still tradeable on SM when it repays in two weeks - normally SM shut down with a month to go?

I tried to invest £1000 and it told me I didn't have sufficient funds, even though I have. I tried £500 and that worked but when I tried to invest the remaining £500 it's telling me I don't have sufficient funds again.

I've tried again with £499 and that worked, but now it won't let me invest the remaining £1. Maybe it's some kind of weird rounding up and I really only have £0.9999 Tim.

As I am occasionally near one of those pubs, I see an opportunity to do some personal due diligence.... Or have a pint.

ablrate few queries Whats the exit strategy? Cant seem to see any reference to one. Is there a CG from ACF like the other loan? In the event of a default will ACF take the defaulting loan back? How are the borrowers servicing the interest, rental income?

Its a known issue that your balance is displayed rounded to the nearest whole pence. Assume that the amount available is 1p less than shown. If you ask Andy nicely he's offered to supply the missing penny before.

That's exactly the explanation I expect - I am sure the solution is for your balance to be displayed rounded down, so £0.99999 is displayed as £0.99 rather than £1.00

Well I suppose all is fair in love & P2P but for the record ablrate appear to have nicked this loan from MT A trifle disappointing that they appear unable to deliver on their own unique USP ie planes/capital equipment, have joined the general stampede into property and that Ed's hard work in securing new partners seems to be in vain this case. Is this the first case of P2P gazundering? Not that it will stop me investing of course Hi The guys at MoneyThing are great, it just happened that the introducer proposed this one to us and we thought it would be a good fit. Property is something we have been looking at but it has to be something a little different, so we liked this one, and would do more if it is not something that is run of the mill. On the planes and the capital equipment, we have some coming up, in fact there will be an email going out today on a capital equipment deal which will run concurrently with this, we also have another small crates one coming up from a previous client. Also, a couple of guys dropped by the show and suggested a great idea, which has been alluded to on here and that is we have a thread on the forum explaining the broad details of loans we DIDN't do and why (on a no name basis of course). The rational being that we can glean feedback on what you guys would have thought. Some loans look OK to us, but we have rejected them because we thought that they may be too complex in the structure. The feedback you give us on those would be able to help with other loans in the pipeline. We thinks its a great idea, so will be doing a thread on that shortly. Regards Ablrate

Hi Just to clarify, the system rounding works to six decimal places but is round up, so 50p will be 50p but 49.1p onwards will be 50p. Its been on the list for a while, I must admit, but now we have sorted the trading issues with amortising loans these things are being worked through. Regards Ablrate
