is there plenty of activity in the secondary market so I can get my funds lend out quickly around 2k in small loans to get on the ladder without waiting for new loans. Thanks Most of the time there is very little offered for sale on the MT SM (because most lenders want to hold on to their investments!). However there is often a far bit of SM activity in the run-up to a large new MT loan, as other lenders look to reduce their stakes to free up cash for the new one. Watch out for new MT loan launches and then keep a close eye on the SM on the day they go live (most people won't bother selling until the day itself, as they can be confident of selling pretty quickly at the moment).

At MoneyThing there is quite a lot being sold on the secondary market but it usually sells within a few minutes. It can persist sometimes but best to expect to use new loans to get invested, unless there is some selling when a new big loan comes along that you might be able to exploit if you're fast and lucky. Makes for an easy exit but not so fast to invest immediately.
