Hi all,
We're adding two more loans today, and more to follow in the next few days.
Many thanks,

collateral Might be worth setting up just one thread to post new loans announcements to, possibly for your use only, and then the Mods can pin it to the top of the board. Quite a few platforms use this system, see MT, FS boards for examples. We now have 3 threads for new loans and it might get a bit cluttered and confusing as you seem to have a bit of flow going . Anyway keep em coming.

"Morning,
We will be putting a few loans up today starting around 10 this morning.
Many thanks,
Gordon"
Well that was a useless piece of information I saw on the "New Loans" thread at about ten past nine. I logged in at 09:48 and waited, waited, waited, (refreshing every half minute until 10:08).
Nothing.
Checked the fully funded loans, and there they were ... fully funded. So I checked emails and there were two from Coll. timed at 09:21 and 09:29 telling me that the loan had already been uploaded.
Don't tell us about 10 when you mean before 9:30 especially on tiny loans with no bid restrictions. Not good enough to keep (or gain) customers on a new platform.

Not wanting to start a long argument in what is the best approach but collateral do you have any plans on how to solve the problem of loans being gobbled so quickly. Obviously only a problem at the moment on small loans but as the platform gets more popular will become bigger and bigger.
I can tell you have looked at your competitors websites and taken the best of most but no one has yet to solve this problem what are your idea's ?

Hi huxs, We are looking at limits on loans to give more investors the chance to invest on the smaller loans. I will post an update here when we have something in place. Many thanks, Gordon

Hi oldgrumpy , We are listing 8 loans throughout today, another two in the next 10 minutes. Gordon The smaller loans (such as #49 just now) have gone by the time the email arrives, so it is a FFF scenario only suitable for people prepared to stay online staring at the loans webpage, refreshing - good luck to them. I note that none of the lenders so far are being too greedy despite the facility to grab the whole loan. That won't last. Now, I see you rapidly getting into the situation that M-Thing did with small loans. The solution was to come to an arrangement with your pawn partners to group the loans as an ongoing and renewing package replacing items as and when they were redeemed/sold. e.g. 20(40) x c£500 items = £10K (£20K), then market them with a limit on individual lenders shares.

Hi oldgrumpy. This is what we will be doing with these types of loans in the future, along with individual loans. Many thanks, Gordon

If I've counted correctly ....is that the last of the 8 for today ?
Also, I understand that it CAN take up to 48 hrs for a credit via bank transfer to appear on the account but like most I prefer to fund only when required. Some of my credits appear almost before I can refresh the screen - others take much longer, although certainly well within the 48 hours. Is this a manual process at Collateral, and what timescale should we REALISTICALLY be looking at - in oreder to get the account funded in time for new loans as they crop up.
Lastly, will you be posting here EVERY DAY to give us a heads up - that would at least give us a chance to pre-fund the account for the day (e.g at the moment I am trying to fund every new loan with the same small amount until I get used to the platform - so if I knew there would be six loans in the day I would prefund in the morning 6 times 'X')

Hi retired2005, Yes that's it for today. We verify every notification with bank deposits, so yes we manually process these deposits at the moment. Going forward it is our intention to post some time the day before on this forum regarding loans for the following day. Also we will be adding loans to the pipeline soon, so you will be able to see actual loans planned for the days ahead. Many thanks, Gordon

Thanks Gordon - labouring the point just a bit, for the next few days at least, can we expect a post on here the day before ....or on the day.... and if so by what time (assuming you know the times loans will go live in advance .....)
Been a good experience so far, except missing out on the first few loans today !

Thanks for the good communication on here .....
Also ....just did a test withdrawal and wasn't expecting to see anything appear until at least the morning - but processed within the hour!!
Very impressed so far - will you be able to keep it up as the platform size increases?
