Should I be a bit underwhelmed with 90% LTV and quarterly payments? It'll make my cashflow a bit lumpy...

Well I have to admit that the 90% LTV is a bit of a misleading figure as there isn't really an LTV.
MTF will lend the money, more typically probably at around 75% LTV and with the buyer putting down a 10% deposit. The 90% I have used is the "LTV on the purchase" but in fact there is a contract on the back end in every case such that the actual LTV is a lot lower (typically 75% but quite often substantially lower).
The key on this loan is that every underlying transaction has a letter of credit (ie. the bank confirms that the buyer has the money in place before the loan is made) or credit insurance (which typically covers 90% of the purchase contract). Whilst I can't make a recommendation on what to invest, I can say that this is a very, very interesting sector because the lack of bank funding means that yields and security are in a completely different ballpark to other sectors.

Looks like there are quite a few people who also think this is a very, very interesting loan Over 60K in half an hour.

Really bad timing for me I'm afraid. Had Ablrate stuck to their original timetable with respect to MSN 532 I would now have a substantial sum available to invest in this new loan and the timing would have been ideal. As it is we won't now get our money back on the aircraft loan until 29th of this month (assuming no more extensions/delays) - too late for this new loan. So question to ablrateandy - can we expect more of this type of loan in the short-term? I would like to keep at least a good chunk of my current investment in the Phoenix loan within Ablrate if possible....

Big thumbs up to ablrate / ablrateandy for another very interesting loan that it's hard to find elsewhere. I've just sold off some bits of ludicrously priced London flats, optimistically valued commercial sheds and dubiously profitable residential development sites to park some money in this one instead

Same feelings on that - Hopefully there'll still be some availability when the Dec 15 Containers pays back on the 9th. Are things on track for the 9th for this one ? ablrateandy ablrate ?

Nice loan, thanks. I am sure that Ablrate will find something else good for the end of the month, rather than just lose the ATR from the loan book.

As there is a general consensus that people would like to put money into something similar at a later date, I will chat to the borrower and see if we can accommodate a similar loan. It's a bit chicken and egg as we don't want to soak them with unusable money but should their loan book grow then my current discussions indicate that they would be willing to do this.

And/or you could roll over the ATR 532 for another few months - provided it can be traded. Would suit me fine.
No instant returns on this one?

Please note that we have capacity to move the size on this with no consequence to security. Our "pencilled in number" was £300k but I think that they will take up to 500. £152k done so far.

Thanks for noting the instant returns. Now I am confused about size (did not notice the OP with the 500). The offer is a fixed size of £250k - unless it is buried in the detail. Not a min and max as in the other live loan. £250k, full amount required, 7 day listing. If you plan to extend the amount or the time scale it would help to make that clear in the offer on the site. People may be taking a worse deal on liquidating other investments to get in before the £250k loan is full. Good to see it looks popular.

Noted and amended. Just popped it up to 300k and made the sizing clearer. Very pleasing start to it

Unofficial heads up that this loan may close on Friday lunchtime due to a couple of opportunities for them to use the money. We'll know more later.
