You know how to vote. The LibLabCon-trick has had its day. I know it's not the right place, but I have to ask...

Back in 2007 I was getting about 7%-8% with ZOPA and inflation was 3%. But I incurred bad debt as there was no SG or PF, and bad debt was not tax deductable so net returns were lower than 5.6% to 6.4%
Inflation now is about 1%. I would expect 5% to 6% gross.
More or less whats available on RS at different times of the month.
I forecast rates will increase come the seasonal increase in demand come September.

Nearly a million sub 6% and only 1145 matches in last 24 hours, I hope you are right because it certainly looks that August is a washout except for the 1st.

The solution to this is easy. Take your money out of RS. It's what I'm doing. Not quickly, but as soon as I get repayments, they're going over to AC. When RS has no lenders, it'll soon stop rigging the markets.

Yes, that is what I have done, RS has gone from the largest of my P2P platforms to one of the smaller ones, in my case most of it has gone to TC, FS, and LI

I think its a bit unfair to say that RS are rigging the market, just that they have lots of lenders willing to lend for lower amounts then we are.

Apparently, today one can borrow Β£25k from my bank for 7 years at 3.4%, presumably Zopa and RS are pretty much in this market, and so perhaps we can expect rates to fall rather than climb back to 6%+

I predicted on the loss of the 3 year market thread that I expected the 5yr rate to drop below 5% once the 3yr market goes south. It's happening faster than I expected, although clearly the BOE cutting interest rates to virtually nothing won't have helped.

It's an algorithm, based on averages of matches the previous day. Jeez. Just let it go. Kevin.
