Hi everyone - an email from Ablrate has just arrived, but I do not think it is appropriate to give any details here . . .
BUT one question for Ablrate - what possible reason could be put forward for not complying immediately with clause 3?
(I can understand a delay on clause 4 . . . but 3 seems worrying!)
As with the initial emails about this loan, I haven't received the more recent one. ablrateandy promised to look in to why that happened and fix it. That hasn't happened. Can someone PM me the email that has been sent?

Coo! You're brave OG. I don't think I would dare send a 'for your eyes only' communication to an anonymous 3rd party. Or perhaps you know and trust ptr120 personally?

The secret is safe with me, although i do wish that Ablrate would post information such as this on the loan comments on their website, and would also fix thr problem with me not receiving these emails

That would be far more reliable. It would probably need to be only visible to those actually invested in the loan, although it would be easy enough for someone to open an account and invest a nominal amount.

Coo! You're brave OG. I don't think I would dare send a 'for your eyes only' communication to an anonymous 3rd party. Or perhaps you know and trust ptr120 personally? The earlier email from 9 July contained this text: " We would politely request that lenders refrain from public comment as it may prejudice what we believe is a very strong position". The latest update does not contain similar text. Any additional emails from Ablrate as a result of individual questions should broadly be assumed to be more confidential, though. However, widespread public discussion is still unwise because lawyers would almost always advise against discussing a pending case in public due to the risk of a negative effect. And naturally nobody who is getting these emails would want to reduce the chance of success. Anyone not involved in these loans might usefully observe the broadly positive reactions from those who are to the Ablrate updates. Not knowing is frustrating but not as frustrating as less effective debt collection due to inappropriate comments would be.

"We would politely request that lenders refrain from public comment as it may prejudice what we believe is a very strong position". "In the meantime should you have any questions please email .......* and we will disclose what we can. "
What more does anybody need? Why is this 'conversation' taking place?**
*lenders will know who to Email so I deleted that. ** Rhetorical question!

What I need is reliable communications that do not involve me going on a fishing trip to discover that there is a loan update that I need to request.

My point is that I expect to see updates on the website and/or to receive email notifications not to have to trawl this forum and then ring or email support.

I agree with you about updates on the loan details on the website, but if you have a problem with email communication between ablrate and you, you need to get it fixed, and that means talking to support.
EDIT: Though on reflection I don't think loan details are restricted to those in the loan, and it may be that with the container loan ablrate have reason to only to communicate with holders.

Its not as easy as you might think to get it fixed. I am in a similar position - get all the routine payment made and (fortunately) new loan notifications, but none relating to the aircraft and container problems. I have separate emails containing the info then forwarded to me after I raise the issue direct, with apologies and assurances it will not happen again, the last one from David, their CEO. Yet I still had to email late Friday, and still await the detail which will no doubt arrive tomorrow, about the latest on the container loan. A pity because I like the diversity that Ablrate offers. Hopefully it will now finally be resolved.

Yep, I understand the frustration However, it's still ablrate support that need to help identify the problem (and then fix it). It might be at their end ie with their email system, it might be with your ISP / spam filters. I can't add any more except to say that the gmail account I use for ablrate has never had any problems.

Interesting, I am also using a gmail account, without any issues apart from this one. Very frustrating for all concerned, including Ablrate.
