We are still waiting for the 'roll them all over by default, unless I deselect them manually' button to appear! I think it is on the creative backlog?

Probably a good idea to couple it with an optional email when a rollover button is enabled and automatically set. Just to prevent complaints when a rollover button is enabled close to the new loan going live and someone might have wanted to deselect.

We are still waiting for the 'roll them all over by default, unless I deselect them manually' button to appear! I think it is on the creative backlog? That seems like potentially a bad idea, creating time pressure between a pre-checked box appearing and deciding, unless the check box is always present. Getting rid of time pressure to act is a better approach. That seems best doable by always having the check box present so you can act at any time, including checking as soon as you invest and having a way to set that to default to on. Colour, shape or some other attribute could indicate whether rollover is currently expected. I don't know about you but I normally know far in advance what I want to do and don't like the limited notice have to act in either direction situation when I could have done that six or three or whatever months earlier at the last time I reviewed things on my own schedule.

Well that would be better than what we have, but it still requires an extra step (tick box) every time I buy something. My default is 'rollover' .. but I could handle manually changing it on the few occasions I don't want the default.

Yes, my desired default is rollover as well. The box always there and an option to have it start automatically checked, same as existing holding or not checked seems like least work and the neatest way I can think of to reduce the likely amount of checking/unchecking and time limits.

I renew everything. On the whole I think more people miss out on ticking the renewal than would get renewed automatically on something they may not want.
I'd like the automatic renew option but it should be a configurable choice to automatically set them.

Yup. I had the finger on the button. And totally missed any chance .. It was gone before the page loaded.
