I would love to hear peoples XIRR.. My first investment was in Aug and my last was in September.. I am still way below 7%. Please can you contact us immediately: invest@bondmason.com We can't see anyone on our dashboard that has waited anywhere near that long for a loan - the maximum wait for those with their investment settings switched on is a few days. I'm very concerned that something will be wrong with your account if you've not had a loan since September!

Quick update: we are currently at 94% invested and 40%+ of clients are 100% invested.
We're working hard on getting everyone up to 100% and have a good pipeline ahead.

I dipped my first toe over New Year, and am now 14% invested, six loans. Let's see how quickly it builds up. That was yesterday... Something got a nudge today... It's suddenly shot up to 16 investments, 44%.

That makes a lot more sense. I was worried there...

It's suddenly shot up to 16 investments, 44%. We were able to run our faster allocation algorithm today, for the first time in a few months. We didn't pre-announce this as we wanted to reward those that have been waiting for a bit. Hopefully more to come...

stevefindlay, doing the weekly updates has set me wondering, do BondMason keep stats on client login frequency? Just curious as to what percentage of your client base login daily / weekly / monthly / less(!?). No worries if the info isn't readily available. Ian.. Very interesting question. I think we have the data available, but it's not something we look at. I'm curious now...

I would love to hear peoples XIRR.. My first investment was in Aug and my last was in September.. I am still way below 7%. bababill. Here is my position after exactly 6 months. Auto Reinvest = ON Pref Inv Conc = 1% Auto Invest = ON Jul 13: £1,000 Jan 13: £1,034.5 total £1,023 deployed (ie ~99%) So interest to-date is 6.9%. Given the significant initial drag (4+ weeks to full investment) the interest after one year is likely to rise toward 8% pa or higher. This is inline with returns forecast by BM. A change of setting from 1% to 2% may have achieved a quicker deployment but would also involve a higher loss if there are defaults.

I think we have the data available, but it's not something we look at. I'm curious now... I ran a quick query of the database: - 24% of clients logged in in last 24 hours - 42% (including 24% above) logged in in last week - 56% (including 42% above) logged in in last month - so not many more than 1 week - 44% last logged in over 1 month ago My interpretation of this: ~half of our clients are "active" and ~half are more "passive". I suspect if we can continue to speed up allocations and implement monthly statements (via email) we may see a reduced frequency of log ins. Thanks for the question!

There's me in the 24%. I can confirm at 90% plus allocation I'll switch to 1% dilution from my current 2% and login less frequently. Currently still assessing the service.
Does anyone have any experience of whether 1% vs 2% investment concentration once mostly deployed affects cash drag at all?

When I hit 90% allocated on a 10K investment back in December I switched from 2% to 1% concentration. Since then I have been stuck at around 90% invested. I am seeing new loans being allocated but they are being offset by loans being repaid at the same rate. So in my experience it does seem to have slowed down the allocation rate. Not great, but I am not comfortable with 2% allocations.

Does anyone have any experience of whether 1% vs 2% investment concentration once mostly deployed affects cash drag at all? 1% does slow down loan allocations - this is most pronounced during the initial period, at times during 2016 we found it could take c.25-50% longer to get allocated on a 1% setting. On an ongoing basis, the only difference in 2016 arose during the period of significant repayment - i.e. Oct/Nov - where fully allocated 1%-ers dropped to high 80%s / low 90%s for some time (as per comment above). However this should be smoother in 2017 as the platform continues to grow, so we'd expect the "fully invested" 1% investor to have higher deployment, more consistently.

My return to date is abysmal - a net £14 on a total investment of £4k deposited as follows: Nov 08 £1000 Nov 28 £1000 Dec 09 £1000 Jan 03 £1000
My settings are and always have been at 2% and autobid is on. My current investment is 58% even with the bids in January being at £90 which is higher than 2%. I am hanging in patiently because I like the concept and ease of investment but am not happy.

While I admit I have added some small sums over the last few weeks, each around £100 overall lending would seem to be pathetically slow, with repayments generally exceeding the rate of lending. I love the concept of BondMason and I want them to succeed but I am not prepared to have hundreds of pounds kicking around for weeks on end waiting to be lent.
I did consider changing to 2% investment level but decided against it.
I will see how it goes until the weekend but if there isn't a marked improvement I will withdraw my unlent funds.
