any other interesting things on the market? Banknote personal loans, with buyback, at 13% and less than one year maturity seems like a good deal? No premium or discount. I am not clear why someone would do this, they have just lost 1% on their investment...

Only reason which makes at least some sense: they need the money or want their portfolio liquidated.
Over the past few days there were a lot of mogo car loans with discounts up to 1.3% and ytm's on ot slightly over 14%. Made me think if somethibg is in the bushes with mogo. But as these loans are only a small part of all outstanding mogo loans, I think everything is fine.

last months you could buy hypocredit mortgages with good repayment history at maximum 14,5% ytm on SM now over 15%.
So it is a general slowdown. Maybe some holidays bills are coming in.

Thanks for notifying us! Either someone needs the money real quick or Mogo is going under.

You are welcome, this is what the thread is supposed to be: Hints for bargains.
The amounts were not that high, so I doubt that any big player has insider information. My guess is, that it was some guy who did not really test the market before. With discounts up to 2 or 2.5% the loans would sell within some minutes or two hours.

That is true, but just two days ago someone else(?) was selling a bunch of Mogo loans at 3% discount. Usually they go easily for 1 - 2% discount.

it also came to my attention (or my subjective awareness) that you see the share of mogo loans on the sm going up.. if I remember correctly, this uptick correlated with the announcement of mogo loans without buyback... I cannot see any connection in this, but it surprised me.

Btw, it looks like Hipocredit and Banknote have pulled their loans from the primary market and are no longer listed among originators.

This is not good news; Hipocredit and Banknote are major loan originators with a good supply of loans. West Kredit is also missing from Loan Originators, maybe they will stop listing new loans on PM too (not that i really care). I hope this will not become a trend and no other loan originator will follow.

I'll admit that with Hipocredit and Banknote withdrawing and the discount Mogo on SM (for unknown reason) has made me re-evaluate Mintos. I have not started actively selling of loans yet, but I have deactivate my auto-invest and won't deposit more funds for now. Maybe in month of 2 once things have settled/been clarified I will reconsider.
