I'm considering whether to start investing on this platform.... Me too! ...although I'm just waiting for the results/outcome of their supposed independent security review/audit of their systems/website/IT infrastructure, as there have been a number of concerns raised previously in this forum over their in-house knowledge of and approach to IT security... it really is the only thing currently preventing me from signing up and investing with Collateral.

Is the platform big enough to deploy say £10k relatively quickly or will this be a challenge at this time? In a month of joining I had about 2/3rds of that invested, but after the first couple of weeks I couldn't buy on the SM as my internet was/is too slow, and it took me a further 6 weeks or so to breach £10k. If you're successful with the SM, which as others note is quite active around new loan launches, you should get there quicker. I haven't done any analysis so it might be my imagination, however, apart from the property loans which aren't really what I'm interested in, I think the loan origination rate has slowed recently, hopefully it will pick up in coming weeks. There have been some glitches around the repayment and renewals of loans which only really started in earnest recently, however, they have been fixed within hours on the whole, and I haven't noticed them occurring at all lately. I've never had any problems with the interest payments, and deposits and withdrawals are still the fastest I experience on any platform. As a small team I think they have been working their way through glitches and bugs, and there is slow but visible/ notable progress. The inclusion of borrower IDs recently was a big improvement for me, cause I can now start diversifying further.
